Gustav Scholz
Gustav Wilhelm Hermann "Bubi" Scholz (12 April 1930 – 21 August 2000) was a German boxer. He was popularly called Bubi. In the 1950s and early 1960s he won the German National Boxing Championship and European Boxing Championship several times. After his retirement in 1964, he acted in six films and several TV series. Scholz married twice, and was imprisoned for three years on charges of murdering his first wife. He developed dementia and was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in his later life. He attempted suicide twice and died at the age of 70 due to cardiac arrest. Early life Gustav Wilhelm Hermann Scholz was born to a blacksmith and a housewife in Berlin. Giulio Rinaldi
Giulio Rinaldi (13 February 1935 – 18 July 2011) was an Italian boxer. He competed at the 1956 Summer Olympics where he was eliminated in the first bout. Pro career During his thirteen and-a-half-year professional career from 1957 to 1970, Rinaldi compiled a record of 44–16–5, with 13 knockouts. He won the Italian light heavyweight title in 1960, and defeated Archie Moore in a nontitle bout the same year. In June 1961, Rinaldi lost a 15-round decision in a rematch with Moore for the NYSAC World Light Heavyweight title. He then went undefeated in ten consecutive fights, and went on to decision 34–0–4 Erich Schoppner over 15 rounds to win the European Light Heavyweight title in 1963. He lost the EBU title by ninth round disqualification to Gustav Sholtz in 1964. John McCormack (boxer)
John McCormack (9 January 1935 – 23 May 2014) was a Scottish boxer. Life and career Known as "Cowboy", McCormack started boxing in 1950 at the age of fifteen. He won the 1956 Amateur Boxing Association British light-middleweight title, when boxing out of the NB Loco ABC. He also held the Scottish title as an amateur. He earned the bronze medal in the light middleweight division (– 71 kg) at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, Australia. McCormack compiled an amateur record of 103-6 (51 knockouts). McCormack died on 23 May 2014 after suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
