Gungrave (TV Series)
is a Japanese anime television series based on the video game of the same name, created by Yasuhiro Nightow. The series follows Brandon Heat and Harry MacDowell as they rise through the ranks of the Millennion crime syndicate. It was produced and animated by Madhouse, directed by Toshiyuki Tsuru, written by Yōsuke Kuroda, with music composed by Tsuneo Imahori. Anime Current
Anime Current was an anime television block running on G4 Canada, in which one series is broadcast from beginning to end. It was similar to Anime Unleashed, a former programming block on the American version of G4. It premiered on 6 November 2006 with R.O.D the TV. On 1 January 2007, G4techTV and Geneon Entertainment announced an exclusive deal in which Geneon titles would air on Anime Current. Previously, Geneon's first (and only) title that aired in Canada was '' Samurai Champloo'' on Razer's Kamikaze block. is a 2002 Japanese third-person shooter video game developed and published by Red Entertainment (Sega in North America and Activision in Europe) for the PlayStation 2. ''Gungrave'' follows its main character through a variety of stages on a path of revenge. While the gameplay received moderate reviews, ''Gungrave'' received acclaim for the character designs provided by series creator Yasuhiro Nightow (''Trigun'') and mechanical designs provided by Kōsuke Fujishima (''Oh My Goddess!'' series, '' You're Under Arrest'' series, ''Sakura Wars'' series). is a Japanese manga artist. His major work ''Trigun'' was adapted into an anime series and film. He also designed the characters for the video game and anime series '' Gungrave'', and has been working on the manga '' Blood Blockade Battlefront''. Biography Nightow was born in Yokohama, and moved to Yokosuka when he was in elementary school, and spent his junior high and high school years in Shizuoka. His first exposure to comics was through Fujio Akatsuka's '' Tensai Bakabon'', and he was also influenced by the comics of Leiji Matsumoto such as '' Cosmoship Yamato'', ''Captain Harlock'' and '' Galaxy Express 999''.
