''Guilty Pleasures'' is the tenth studio album by Quiet Riot released in 2001. It was produced jointly by John Rollo and Quiet Riot. It is the last to feature guitarist Carlos Cavazo and bassist Rudy Sarzo, though Sarzo later appeared as a guest performer on the band's 2014 studio album '' Quiet Riot 10'' and he eventually rejoined the band in 2021. Quiet Riot is an American heavy metal music, heavy metal band founded in Los Angeles in 1973 by guitarist Randy Rhoads, bassist Kelly Garni, and vocalist Kevin DuBrow. The original lineup featured Rhoads and Garni with lead vocalist Kevin DuBrow and drummer Drew Forsyth, though that version of the band was mired in turmoil that would eventually see Garni fired for making death threats towards DuBrow. Their most commercially successful lineup consisted of DuBrow alongside guitarist Carlos Cavazo, bassist Rudy Sarzo and drummer Frankie Banali, and in 1983 released their breakthrough album ''Metal Health'', which is known for being the first heavy metal album to top the ''Billboard'' album chart. ''Alive and Well'' is the ninth studio album by heavy metal band Quiet Riot. It was recorded following a reunion of the classic 1980s Quiet Riot lineup of Kevin DuBrow, Rudy Sarzo, Carlos Cavazo, and Frankie Banali. It featured eight new songs alongside updated versions of six of their classics, including "Cum On Feel The Noize", "Metal Health" and "Mama Weer All Crazee Now", as well as a cover of " Highway to Hell" by AC/DC. This track had previously been released on the AC/DC tribute album ''Thunderbolt: A Tribute To AC/DC''. ''Rehab'' is the eleventh studio album released from the heavy metal band Quiet Riot in 2006. It is their first studio release since 2001's '' Guilty Pleasures'', and is their final studio album to feature lead singer Kevin DuBrow before his death in November 2007. Background In September 2003, Quiet Riot broke up for the third time after the 'classic' lineup of vocalist Kevin DuBrow, guitarist Carlos Cavazo, bassist Rudy Sarzo and drummer Frankie Banali had been reunited since 1997. Interviews with individual members revealed there had been tensions within the band, particularly between DuBrow and Sarzo. When the band set out to reform in 2004, Neither Sarzo nor Cavazo was invited to re-join, and their roles in the band were instead filled by Chuck Wright, who had played with Quiet Riot various times in previous years, and Alex Grossi, respectively. Carlos Cavazo (born July 8, 1957) is a Mexican-American musician best known as the guitarist for heavy metal band Quiet Riot during their commercial peak. He has also played with Snow, 3 Legged Dogg, Hollywood Allstarz, and Ratt. Biography Cavazo was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 8, 1957 to a Mexican father and an American mother. He formed the band ''Speed of Light'' with his older brother Tony in 1973 in Anaheim (Hills), Orange County, California. Carlos would have been part of the 1st graduating at Canyon High School, however, he left school his senior year to pursue music. The band would evolve into ''Snow'' by 1978 with the addition of vocalist Doug Ellison and drummer Stephen Quadros. Rodolfo Maximiliano Sarzo Lavieille Grande Ruiz Payret y Chaumont (born November 18, 1950) is a Cuban-American musician. He remains best known as the bassist for Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, and Whitesnake, and has also played with several well known heavy metal and hard rock acts including Manic Eden, Dio, Blue Öyster Cult, Geoff Tate's Queensrÿche, Devil City Angels, and the Guess Who. He re-joined Quiet Riot in 2021. He is the sole remaining member from the band's “Metal Health” lineup. Early life Sarzo was born in Havana on November 18, 1950. ''Quiet Riot 10'' (also alternatively known as just ''10'', or ''Quiet Riot Number 10'') is the twelfth studio album by the Rock band Quiet Riot, which was released on June 27, 2014. It is their first studio album since 1988's '' QR'' not to feature longtime and founding vocalist Kevin DuBrow in any newly recorded material, due to his death in November 2007. It is also the band's first album since reuniting in 2010. Kevin Mark DuBrow (October 29, 1955 – November 19, 2007) was an American singer, best known as the lead vocalist of the Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Quiet Riot from 1975 until 1987, and again from 1993 until his death in 2007. Early life, photography work and family Kevin DuBrow was born to Laura and Alvin Dubrow. He was raised in Los Angeles with his younger brother, Terry Dubrow, Terry, who went on to become a plastic surgeon and TV personality. Francesco Felice Banali (November 14, 1951 – August 20, 2020) was an American rock drummer, most widely known for his work with heavy metal band Quiet Riot. His signature tone and iconic drum intros first became famous on their album ''Metal Health'', which was the first metal album to hit number one on the ''Billboard'' charts and helped usher in the 80's metal band era. He had been the band's manager since 1993. He had also played the drums in the heavy metal band W.A.S.P., as well as with Billy Idol. QUIET was an astronomy experiment to study the polarization of the cosmic microwave background radiation. QUIET stands for Q/U Imaging ExperimenT. The Q/U in the name refers to the ability of the telescope to measure the Q and U Stokes parameters simultaneously. QUIET was located at an elevation of 5,080 metres (16,700 feet) at Llano de Chajnantor Observatory in the Chilean Andes. It began observing in late 2008 and finished observing in December 2010.
