Guide To The Good Life
''Guide to the Good Life'' is a weekly Australian television series that airs on Channel Seven. The series, sponsored by insurance company APIA, features various lifestyle segments including food, travel, motoring, home and finance advice. The program is aimed towards older viewers, the same demographic targeted by APIA. The program premiered at 5pm on Saturday, 6 June 2009. It joins similar Seven programs such as Mercurio's Menu, Coxy's Big Break and Sydney Weekender, which are also shown on weekend afternoons between 5pm and 6pm. 1080i
1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame Image resolution, resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for interlaced video, "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. ''Mercurio's Menu'' is an Australian television cooking show hosted by Paul Mercurio. The series follows Paul as he travels to different regions of Australia and highlights the region's local cuisines, as well as talk to local chefs. It is produced by WTFN and airs on Channel Seven and a number of other stations in Australia and New Zealand. It is also shown on the Australian Network which beams out to more than 44 countries across Asia, the Pacific and Indian subcontinent. The Great South East
''The Great South East'' is a Queensland-based lifestyle program screening on the Seven Network which screened from 1997 until 2016. It was replaced by a similarly themed show ''The Great Day Out'' in 2017. The half-hour-long program showcases tourist attractions in the south-eastern corner of the state surrounding the state capital Brisbane. The shows were produced by 7 Productions Queensland and screened on Sundays at 5:30pm. Progressive segmented Frame (PsF, sF, SF) is a scheme designed to acquire, store, modify, and distribute progressive scan video using interlaced equipment. With PsF, a progressive frame is divided into two ''segments'', with the odd lines in one segment and the even lines in the other segment. Technically, the segments are equivalent to interlaced ''fields'', but unlike native interlaced video, there is no motion between the two fields that make up the video frame: both fields represent the same instant in time. ''Sydney Weekender'' is an Australian travel show featuring destinations throughout the state of New South Wales. The program debuted in 1994 on Saturdays at 5:30pm, later moving to Sundays at the same time before the local nightly news bulletin. It is hosted by Matt Shirvington and airs on the Seven Network in New South Wales and nationally on 7Two. ''Coxy's Big Break'' was a daily travel show which premiered in 2004. It aired across Victoria at on Seven Melbourne and Prime. Sofie Formica (born 29 June 1971 Brisbane, Queensland, Australia) is an Australian radio and television presenter best known for hosting Queensland-based lifestyle show '' The Great South East'' on the Seven Network from 1997 until 2016. ''Afternoons with Sofie Formica'' was launched on Brisbane radio station 4BC in October 2021. Career Hosting Formica's television career commenced at age 14 on local Queensland school TV programs.
