Griffy Reservoir, commonly known as Lake Griffy, is a reservoir in the city of Bloomington, Indiana. Bloomington is a city in Monroe County, Indiana, United States, and its county seat. The population was 79,168 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. Beanblossom Creek
Beanblossom Creek is a stream in Monroe and Brown counties, Indiana, in the United States. The creek drains roughly 91.97 square miles into the two counties of south central Indiana. History Beanblossom Creek was named for a pioneer named Beanblossom, who almost drowned when swimming across the swollen creek. A dam was constructed on Beanblossom Creek in the 1950s, forming Lake Lemon. Earlier, a smaller Griffy Lake has been created by a dam impounding Griffy Creek, one of Beanblossom Creek's tributaries. Pollution From September to October 2001, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management conducted a comprehensive survey of the Beanblossom Creek Watershed. Good Luck was a pop-punk band from Bloomington, IN. The band was composed of three members: Ginger Alford, Matt Tobey and Mike Harpring. The band released two studio albums, ''Into Lake Griffy'' in 2008 and ''Without Hesitation'' in 2011, along with an EP in 2010. The band is no longer actively touring or producing new music, although the band's social media pages are maintained and updated with occasional performances and information on other projects worked on by band members. History Formation The band grew out of the folk-punk scene in Bloomington, IN.
