Grete Wold
Grete Wold (born 15 January 1968) is a Norwegian politician for the Socialist Left Party. She has been a member of the Storting since 2021. Career Born on 15 January 1968, Wold graduated with a bachelor degree from Høgskolen i Nordland in 1993. From 1993 to 2021 she was a social work consultant and eventually section leader in Sandefjord, in the field of mental health and drug abuse. She was elected representative to the Storting from the constituency of Vestfold for the period 2021–2025, for the Socialist Left Party. The Socialist Left Party (, SV; ) is a democratic socialist political party in Norway. Positioned on the left-wing of the political spectrum, it is opposed to European Union membership, European Union and the European Economic Area membership. SV supports a strong public sector, stronger social welfare programs, environmentalism, and Republicanism in Norway, republicanism. The Storting ( ; ) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. Vestfold is one of the 19 multi-member constituencies of the Storting, the national legislature of Norway. The constituency was established in 1921 following the introduction of proportional representation for elections to the Storting. Vestfold () is a county and a current electoral district in Norway. Located on the western shore of the Oslofjord, it borders Buskerud and Telemark counties.
