Greg Clark (journalist)
Gregory Clark, (25 September 1892 – 3 February 1977) was a Canadians, Canadian war veteran, journalist, and humourist. A reporter for the ''Toronto Star'' from 1911 to 1946, Clark gained fame in Canada for his coverage of various news events of the 1920s and 1930s, and particularly for his front-line coverage of World War II. He also began writing a popular humour column in the 1930s, which continued after he left the Star and was widely syndicated throughout Canada into the early 1970s. In 1967, he was made one of the initial Officers of the Order of Canada "for the humour which he has brought to his profession as a newspaper writer and radio commentator". Clark has advised more than 300 cities, 50 national governments and a wide array of bodies including the OECD, Brookings Institution, the World Bank and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) on strategies for city development and investment. Gregory Clark (born 19 May 1936) is a British-Australian diplomat, journalist, author and educator resident in Japan since 1976. Biography Clark was born in Cambridge, England, where his father Colin Clark was a statistician who worked with John Maynard Keynes at the University of Cambridge. The family moved to Australia in 1938 and Clark grew up there. He enrolled in the University of Oxford (Brasenose College) at the age of sixteen. After graduating in Geography from Oxford, he joined the Australian foreign service in 1956, with which he was stationed in Hong Kong and Moscow in the early 1960s: he left the foreign service in 1965 due to his opposition to the Vietnam War, after having become proficient in Chinese and Russian. Gregory Clark (born 19 September 1957) is a British economic historian who worked mostly at University of California, Davis and is now the Danish National Research Council professor of economics at the University of Southern Denmark. He is known for his economic research on the industrial revolution and social mobility. Biography Clark, whose grandfathers were migrants to Scotland from Ireland, was born in Bellshill, Scotland. Gregory Clark (born 1950 in Provo, Utah) is an American scholar and teacher working in rhetorical studies and American cultural criticism. He retired from academic work in 2021. His work is both theoretical and critical, developing concepts of how influence works that he then uses to study capacities for influence inherent in American cultural practices. His theoretical project centers on an ongoing exploration of rhetorical aesthetics: ways that rhetoric works through aesthetic means and ways that aesthetic encounters do rhetorical work. Clark's primary resource for this work is the work of Kenneth Burke. Gregory Jay Clark (April 7, 1972 – July 7, 2021) was an American professional football player who was a tight end for the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the 49ers in the third round of the 1997 NFL draft.
