Ernest Edward Greene House
The Ernest Edward Greene House is a historic residence in Cullman, Alabama, United States. The house was built in 1913 by Ernest Edward Greene, the superintendent of Southern Cotton Oil Company. After Greene's death in 1922, the house was passed on to several more owners, including John George Luyben, Sr., who lived in the house for 34 years. The two-story house is built in Neoclassical architecture, Neoclassical style, and has a side gable roof with two interior chimneys. The three-bay façade features a double-height portico, supported by two Ionic columns. The corners of the house have matching Ionic capital (architecture), capitaled pilasters. A one-story, hip roofed porch supported by ten Tuscan columns wraps around the front of the house and halfway down each side. Caleb Greene House
The Caleb Greene House is an historic house in Warwick, Rhode Island. The -story wood frame Federal era house was built in 1800 by Caleb Greene, a local businessman. Caleb Greene was a cousin to the American Revolutionary War General Nathanael Greene and the father to Major General George Sears Greene, the man credited with holding the right flank of the Union Army on Culp's Hill at the Battle of Gettysburg on July 2, 1863. The house, one of the better-preserved of the period in the Apponaug area of Warwick, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Moses Greene House
The Moses Greene House is an historic house in Warwick, Rhode Island. It is a -story wood-frame house with a large central chimney, and a rear ell. The main block was built c. 1750, and is one of Warwick's few surviving 18th-century houses. It is located on one of the first sites to be occupied by European settlers in Warwick, near one of its first sawmills. In 1750, Moses Greene built his home where Buckeye Brook meets Mill Cove. The home may have served a role in the Underground Railroad—a secret cellar room is accessed by a stone wall that slides aside on iron tracks. The room may have also been used by rum smugglers. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Christopher Rhodes Greene House
The Christopher Rhodes Greene House is a historic house at 2 Potter Court in Coventry, Rhode Island. The -story house, with a matching stable, was designed by the Providence firm of Stone & Carpenter, and built in 1883 for Christopher Rhodes Greene, one of the owners of the Clyde Bleach and Print Works, located about away on the Pawtuxet River. The house features the irregular massing with numerous projections and window shapes and sizes, and a wraparound porch with porte-cochere. The exterior is sheathed predominantly in wood clapboards on the lower level, and shingles cut in a variety of shapes on the upper levels. The main, south-facing, gable peak has more elaborate siding, along with false half-timbering and a medallion. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
