Green Lotus Sect
The Xiantiandao (, or "Way of the Primordial"; Vietnamese: ', Japanese: ') or known as Blue/Green Lotus sect (), also simply Tiandao (; Vietnamese: ', Japanese: ') is one of the most productive currents of Chinese folk religious sects such as the White Lotus Sect, characterised by representing the principle of divinity as feminine and by a concern for salvation (moral completion) of mankind. Xiantiandao was founded in Jiangxi in the 17th century Qing dynasty as an offshoot of the Venerable Officials' teaching of fasting (), a branch of the Dacheng ( "Great Vehicle") or Yuandun ( "Sudden Stillness") eastern proliferation of Luoism. Yixin Tiandao Longhua Hui
The Holy Dragon Flower Church of the Heart-bound Heavenly Way (一心天道龙华圣教会 ''Yīxīn tiāndào lónghuá shèng jiàohuì''), also known simply as Yixin Tiandao (一心天道 "Heart-bound Heavenly Way"), Yizhendao (一真道 "Way of the One Truth") or the Holy Church of the One Truth (一真圣教会 ''Yīzhēn shèng jiàohuì''), or Changmaodao (长毛道 "Way of the Long Hair"),Shanghai Government Archive. is a Chinese folk religious sect part of the Xiantiandao tradition. The first hall of the religion (一心堂 ''yīxīn táng'', "one-heart hall") was founded in 1913 by Ma Shiwei (马士伟) in the Zouping County of Shandong. In 1917 the One-Heart movement expanded opening a branch in Shanxi, and in 1922 it started a branch in Hebei. Its headquarters were located in Wutai County (Shanxi) and Jinan (Shandong). Miledadao
Wang Hao-te, also known as Wang Hao Demir, was the founder of the Great Way of Maitreya (). Wang was born on August 31, 1921, in a small village called Zhang Gu in Shandong. He went to Taiwan when he was 17 years old during the Second World War, and he was introduced to Yiguandao in 1948. He was the only person appointed to take care of Sun Su Zhen, or "Shi Mu" (Chinese: 師母), the great mistress of Yiguandao, for 11 years until her death on April 4, 1975. Wang died of CO2 poisoning on December 25, 1999, during his mission to Chiang Mai. In 1987, Wang set up the Providence Maitreya Buddha Institute () in Hsinchu, Taiwan. According to a survey done in 2004, this religion has 1,000,000 members and 2,000 temples all over the world. Yiguandao / I-Kuan Tao (), meaning the Consistent Way or Persistent Way, is a Chinese salvationist religions, Chinese salvationist religious sect that emerged in the late 19th century, in Shandong, to become China's most important redemptive society in the 1930s and 1940s, especially during the Japanese invasion. In the 1930s, Yiguandao spread rapidly throughout China led by Zhang Tianran, who is the eighteenth patriarch of the Latter Far East Tao Lineage, and Sun Suzhen, the first matriarch of the Lineage. Yiguandao started off with a few thousand followers in Shandong in the 1930s, but under the Patriarch and Matriarch's leadership and with missionary work the group grew to become the biggest movement in China in the 1940s with millions of followers. Yaochidao (瑤池道 "Way of the Mother-of-Pearl Lake"), also known by the name of its corporate form the Holy Church of the Mother-of-Pearl Lake, Taiwan Yauchi Holy Church (台灣瑤池聖教會) or by the older name of Cihuitang (慈惠堂 "Church of the Loving Favour"), is a Chinese folk religious sect related to the ''Xiantiandao'' lineage, with a strong following in Taiwan and active as an underground church in the People's Republic of China, where it is theoretically a proscribed sect. Tiandi Teachings
Tiandiism is a group of Chinese salvationist sects, namely the Holy Church of the Heavenly Virtue and the Lord of Universe Church, which emerged respectively from the teachings of Xiao Changming and Li Yujie, disseminated in the early 20th century.Vermander, 1999. The Lord of Universe Church is actually a later development of the former, established in the 1980s. Jiugongdao
Jiugongdao (九宫道 "Way of the Nine Palaces") is a Chinese folk religious sect centered in the Wutai County of the province of Shanxi. The name of the sect is based on the ''jiugong'' diagram of esoteric cosmology. Flourishing in the Qing dynasty, but rooted in earlier times, the Jiugongdao developed greatly on Mount Wutai thanks to the efforts of Li Xiangshan, also known as ''Puji'', his name as a Buddhist monk who was close to the Manchu court. With his contribution, Jiugongdao took over more than twenty run down former Buddhist monasteries on Mount Wutai and rebuilt them thanks to the donations of its strong following, especially concentrated in northeast China.
