"Can't Stop" became the band's eighth number one on the US ''Billboard'' Modern Rock Tracks chart, where it was number one for three weeks. It reached number 57 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Alternative Songs
Alternative Airplay (formerly known as Modern Rock Tracks between 1988 and 2009, and Alternative Songs between 2009 and 2020) is a music chart published in the American magazine ''Billboard'' since September 10, 1988. It ranks the 40 most-played songs on alternative and modern rock radio stations. Introduced as Modern Rock Tracks, the chart served as a companion to the Mainstream Rock chart (then called Album Rock Tracks), and its creation was prompted by the explosion of alternative music on American radio in the late 1980s. During the first several years of the chart, it regularly featured music that did not receive commercial radio airplay anywhere but on a few modern rock and college rock radio stations. This included many electronic and post-punk artists. Gradually, as alternative rock became more mainstream (spearheaded by the grunge explosion in the early 1990s), alternative and mainstream rock radio stations began playing many of the same songs. By the late 2000s, ...

Warped (song)
"Warped" is a song by American alternative rock group Red Hot Chili Peppers from their 1995 album, ''One Hot Minute''. It was released as the first single from the album in August 1995 by Warner Bros. It is the first track on ''One Hot Minute'', beginning with an unusually quiet intro, before suddenly kicking into a very heavy, crunching riff, and ends with a mellow, melodic outro. Anthony Kiedis' vocals are distorted and echoed throughout, and contrast dramatically with the rapping present on the band's previous material, especially on their more fast-paced songs such as this; short lines are stretched to fill an entire measure. The musical style is of an unpredictable and unsettling nature, which is generally maintained throughout the entire album. The lyrics describe Kiedis' confused feelings about drugs, starting already in the first lines with: "my tendency/for dependency/is offending me". Despite being the album's first single, neither the song nor the accompanying video was ...

One Hot Minute
''One Hot Minute'' is the sixth studio album by American Rock music, rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, released on September 12, 1995, by Warner Bros. Records. The worldwide success of the band's previous album ''Blood Sugar Sex Magik'' (1991) caused guitarist John Frusciante to become uncomfortable with their popularity, eventually quitting mid-tour in 1992. Following a series of short-term replacements, the band hired guitarist Dave Navarro in 1993; it was his only studio album with the band. Recording for the album took place at the Sound Factory in Hollywood, Los Angeles, Hollywood from June 1994 to February 1995. It marked the second collaboration between the band and producer Rick Rubin. ''One Hot Minute'' moves away from the funk of ''Blood Sugar Sex Magik'', instead favoring heavy metal music, heavier riffs and, at times, veering toward a psychedelic rock sound. This shift was primarily due to the influence of Navarro, formerly of Jane's Addiction. Vocalist Anthony Kiedis ...

Blood Sugar Sex Magik
''Blood Sugar Sex Magik'' is the fifth studio album by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, released on September 24, 1991, by Warner Bros. Records. Produced by Rick Rubin, its musical style differed notably from the band's previous album '' Mother's Milk'' (1989), reducing the use of heavy metal guitar riffs and accentuating the melodic songwriting contributions of guitarist John Frusciante. The album's subject matter incorporates sexual innuendos and references to drugs and death, as well as themes of lust and exuberance. ''Blood Sugar Sex Magik'' peaked at number three on the US ''Billboard'' 200, and produced hit singles " Under the Bridge", " Give It Away", " Suck My Kiss", " Breaking the Girl" and " If You Have to Ask". Mother's Milk (album)
''Mother's Milk'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, released on August 16, 1989, by EMI Records. After the death of founding guitarist Hillel Slovak and the subsequent departure of drummer Jack Irons, vocalist Anthony Kiedis and bassist Flea regrouped with the addition of guitarist John Frusciante and drummer Chad Smith. Frusciante's influence altered the band's sound by placing more emphasis on melody than rhythm, which had dominated the band's previous material. Returning producer Michael Beinhorn favored heavy metal guitar riffs as well as overdubbing. Frusciante perceived Beinhorn's taste as excessive, and as a result, the two constantly fought over the album's guitar sound. ''Mother's Milk'' was a greater commercial success than the band's first three albums, peaking at number 52 on the US ''Billboard'' 200. It received widespread airplay for the three singles which are the cover of Stevie Wonder's " Higher Ground", " Knock Me Down" a ...
