Governor Of Hubei
The governor of Hubei, officially the Governor of the Hubei Provincial People's Government, is the head of Hubei Province and leader of the Hubei Provincial People's Government. The governor is elected by the Hubei Provincial People's Congress, and responsible to it and its Standing Committee. The governor is a provincial level official and is responsible for the overall decision-making of the provincial government. The governor is assisted by an executive vice governor as well as several vice governors. The governor generally serves as the deputy secretary of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and as a member of the CCP Central Committee. The governor the second-highest ranking official in the province after the secretary of the CCP Hubei Committee. The current governor is Li Dianxun, who took office on 2 January 2025. The ''People's Daily'' ( zh, s=人民日报, p=Rénmín Rìbào) is the official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Li Hongzhong (; born 13 August 1956) is a Chinese politician, who is currently the first-ranking vice chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and a member of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party. Born in Shenyang, Li spent much of his early career in Guangdong province, including as mayor, then party secretary of Shenzhen. Luo Qingquan
Luo Qingquan (; 9 November 1945 – 23 April 2021) was a politician of the People's Republic of China and the former Governor and Communist Party Chief of Hubei province. Born in Jiangling, Hubei, Luo started working in 1968, and joined the CPC in 1975. He formerly served as the vice secretary of the CPC Yichang municipal committee, as well as vice mayor and later, mayor and Party chief of Yichang. Jiang Zhuping (; born November 1937) is a Chinese retired aerospace engineer and politician. He served as Director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China and Governor and Party Secretary of Hubei. Biography Jiang Zhuping was born in November 1937 in Yixing, Jiangsu Province. He is the son of Jiang Nanxiang, who served as education minister of China. He joined the work force in 1956 and the Chinese Communist Party in 1960. Guo Shuyan (; October 1935 – 23 January 2022) was a Chinese engineer and politician. He served as Governor of Hubei from 1990 to 1993.
