Gondhali is a community in Maharashtra, India. Their occupation is to sing songs of the Goddesses and Gods of Maharashtra preaching them for mythogical reasons like mannat or kasam after accomplishment. Their songs are usually the mythological stories of their Gods. Sambal (drum)
The sambal is a folk membranophone instrument from Western India.''South Asia : The Indian Subcontinent''. (Garland Encyclopedia of World Music, Volume 5). Routledge; Har/Com edition (November 1999). It consists of two wooden drums united from a side, with skin heads stretched on their top mouths. One drum is higher in pitch than the other one.
