Gonatodes Ceciliae
The brilliant South American gecko (''Gonatodes ceciliae''), also known commonly as the brilliant clawed gecko, is a species of lizard in the family Sphaerodactylidae. The species is native to northern South America. Etymology The specific name, ''ceciliae'', is in honor of Cecilia Donoso-Barros, who is the daughter of Chilean herpetologist Roberto Donoso-Barros. Geographic range ''G. ceciliae'' is found in Trinidad and Venezuela. Habitat The preferred natural habitat of ''G. ceciliae'' is forest, at altitudes from sea level to . Roberto Donoso-Barros
Roberto Donoso-Barros (October 5, 1921 – August 2, 1975) was a Chilean botanist, naturalist, and herpetologist. Early life and education Donoso-Barros was born in Santiago, Chile. He attended the University of Chile in Santiago, earning his M.D. from the school in 1947. Career Donoso-Barros joined the faculty of the University of Chile in 1954. In 1965, he became a professor at the University of Concepción. He also worked at the Universidad de Oriente in Venezuela, and at the Smithsonian Institution in the United States. Donoso-Barros was a prolific herpetological authority in Chile. In 1966, he published ''Reptiles de Chile'' which collected and reported on all lizard species described to date in Chile. Diurnality is a form of plant and animal behavior characterized by activity during daytime, with a period of sleeping or other inactivity at night. The common adjective used for daytime activity is "diurnal". The timing of activity by an animal depends on a variety of environmental factors such as the temperature, the ability to gather food by sight, the risk of predation, and the time of year. Herbert Rösler (15 June 1924 – 11 November 2006) was a German artist, writer and designer. He worked as a painter, graphic designer, sculptor, developed models for futuristic architecture, designed clothes, furniture and handcrafted jewelry. Furthermore, he is also known as founder of the Christian work- and housing-community ''Gruppe 91'' (''Group 91''), their beliefs and lifestyle have similarities to the Jesus movement. Rösler was the creative and spiritual guidance for this community from their beginning in 1968 to the date of his passing in 2006.
