Gmina Niemcza is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Dzierżoniów County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. Its seat is the town of Niemcza, which lies approximately east of Dzierżoniów and south of the regional capital Wrocław. The gmina covers an area of , and as of 2019 its total population is 5,473. Neighbouring gminas Gmina Niemcza is bordered by the town of Piława Górna and the gminas of Ciepłowody, Dzierżoniów, Kondratowice, Łagiewniki and Ząbkowice Śląskie. The gmina (Polish: , plural ''gminy'' ) is the basic unit of the administrative division of Poland, similar to a municipality. , there were 2,479 gminy throughout the country, encompassing over 43,000 villages. 940 gminy include cities and towns, with 322 among them constituting an independent urban gmina () consisting solely of a standalone town or one of the 107 cities, the latter governed by a city mayor (''prezydent miasta'').
