Giro Di Romagna
The Giro della Romagna is a semi classic European bicycle race held in the Italian region of Romagna. After 2005, the race was organised as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. The race was discontinued in 2011, and in 2013, it merged with the Memorial Marco Pantani, which also takes place in Romagna. Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on Road surface, paved roads. Jean-Baptiste Dortignacq (25 April 1884 – 13 May 1928) was a French road bicycle racer between 1900 and 1910. Dortignacq won seven stages in four Tour de France events. Angelo Fausto Coppi (; 15 September 1919 – 2 January 1960) was an Italian cyclist, the dominant international cyclist of the years after the World War II, Second World War. António Morgado
António Morgado (born 28 January 2004) is a Portuguese road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career At the 2022 UCI Road World Championships held in Wollongong, Australia, Morgado won a silver medal in the men's junior road race after he was outsprinted by Emil Herzog at the line. After a highly successful two years as a junior, Morgado was recruited by UCI Continental team for 2023. That season, he won the International Tour of Rhodes and repeated his performance at the World Championships, winning another silver medal, this time in the under-23 road race. The following season, he joined UCI WorldTeam on a four-year contract. Classic Cycle Races
The classic cycle races are the most prestigious one-day professional road cycling races in the international calendar. Some of these events date back to the 19th century. They are normally held at roughly the same time each year. The five most revered races are often described as the cycling monuments. For the 2005 to 2007 seasons, some classics formed part of the UCI ProTour run by the Union Cycliste Internationale. This event series also included various stage races including the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, Vuelta a España, Paris–Nice, and the Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré. The UCI ProTour replaced the UCI Road World Cup series (1989–2004) which contained only one-day races. The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the world's governing body in the sport of bicycle racing, classifies races according to a rating scale. The rating is represented by a code made of two or three parts and indicates both the type or style of race (the first part), and its importance or difficulty (the second and third parts, lower being harder). The Memorial Marco Pantani is a professional road bicycle race held annually in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. History The race has been organized since 2004 and serves as a memory of Marco Pantani.
