Girlfriend ( mr, Preyasi, italics=yes) a 2019 Marathi language film is directorial debut of Upendra Sidhaye. Starting Amey Wagh and Sai Tamhankar and has Isha Keskar, Uday Nene, Yatin Karyekar and Kavita Lad in supporting roles. It is produced by Anish Joag, Ranjit Gugle, Kaustubh Dhamane, Ameya Patil, Salil Milind Datar and Afeefa Nadiadwala, under the banner of Huge Production, Pratishad Production and Triple Ace Production. The film was released on 26 July 2019. Plot Summary The story revolves around Nachiket ( Amey Wagh), a nerdy youngster who wants to get a girlfriend. He finds one in Alisha ( Sai Tamhankar). Upendra Sidhaye (born 8 October 1980), born and brought up in Pune, is a screenplay and story writer in Indian Film industry (Bollywood). Sidhaye won honors and admiration with his debut film ''Mumbai Meri Jaan'' (2008). Sidhaye and Yogesh Vinayak Joshi collectively received the Filmfare Awards (2009) and Cine Blitz award of best screenplay for Mumbai Meri Jaan. Sidhaye graduated with a degree in Commerce. He did his post graduation in Mass Communication from Pune University. He joined theatre group viz. Maitree, Pune that staged Marathi plays like Sankraman. Amey Wagh (born 13 November 1987) is an Indian Marathi actor known for films such as ''Popat'', ''Faster Fene'', '' Muramba'', ''Girlfriend''.
