Gillian Blake
Gillian Blake (born 10 May 1949), Buckingham, England is a retired British actress who became well known in the early 1970s as Dora in '' Follyfoot''. Blake studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and began her professional career in the late 1960s. She appeared in the 1969 film '' Goodbye Mr. Chips.'' She went on to perform additional roles on television. In 1971 she landed the lead role in a Yorkshire Television Production ''Follyfoot'', which ran for three series until 1973. Her last role of note was in two episodes of the ''BBC2 Playhouse'' series in 1980. Since then she has retired from acting, having spent some years concentrating on motherhood. Buckingham
Buckingham ( ) is a market town in north Buckinghamshire, England, close to the borders of Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire, which had a population of 12,890 at the 2011 Census. The town lies approximately west of Central Milton Keynes, south-east of Banbury, and north-east of Oxford. Buckingham was the county town of Buckinghamshire from the 10th century, when it was made the capital of the newly formed shire of Buckingham, until Aylesbury took over this role early in the 18th century. Peter Whitbread
Peter Bruce Pauling Whitbread (25 October 1928 – 26 October 2004) was an English actor and screenwriter. He was born in Norfolk, England and educated at Gresham's School, Holt, Norfolk. He had a long career in the theatre, including several seasons with the New Shakespeare Company. In his later years, he devised and performed one-man shows. Beyond acting, Whitehead worked as a director, playwright and screenwriter. He concentrated mostly on writing for the theatre, and in 1974 his drama ''Mr Axelford’s Angel'' won the Emmy Award for Best Television Play. He also wrote scripts for the television soap opera ''Emmerdale Farm'', and all the episodes of Southern Television children's series ''The Flockton Flyer''. ''Follyfoot'' is a children's television series co-produced by the majority-partner British television company Yorkshire Television (for transmission on ITV) and the independent West German company ''TV München'' (for transmission on the ZDF channel). It aired in the United Kingdom between 1971 and 1973, repeated for two years after that and again in the late 1980s. The series starred Gillian Blake in the lead role. ''This Is Your Life'' is a British biographical television documentary, based on the 1952 American show of the same title. It was hosted by Eamonn Andrews from 1955 until 1964, and then from 1969 until his death in 1987. Michael Aspel then took up the role of host until the show ended in 2003. It briefly returned in 2007 as a one-off special presented by Trevor McDonald. In the show the host surprises a special guest, before taking them through their life with the assistance of the 'big red book'. Both celebrities and non-celebrities have been featured on the show. The show was originally broadcast live, and over its run it has alternated between being broadcast on the BBC and on ITV.
