George Maxwell (colonial Administrator)
Sir William George Maxwell (9 June 1871 – 22 August 1959) was a British colonial administrator in British Malaya and the Straits Settlements.OxfordDNBEntry for ''Maxwell, Sir (William) George'' Retrieved 9 January 2014 Biography He was the eldest son of Sir William Edward Maxwell and Lilias Grant Mackay. Edward Lewis Brockman
Sir Edward Lewis Brockman (29 June 1865 – 10 January 1943) was a colonial administrator who served briefly as the Colonial Secretary to the Straits Settlements in 1911 and was the chief secretary to the Federated Malay States (FMS) from 1911 to 1920. He announced the establishment of the Town Planning Committee to oversee Kuala Lumpur town planning service. He was descendant of the English Brockman family. Brockman Road (Jalan Dato' Onn) in Kuala Lumpur was named after him, where the former Prime Minister office was located. Career Brockman started as a cadet of Straits Settlement Service in December 1886 and was appointed as private secretary to the John Frederick Dickson (Acting Governor of Straits Settlement) in October 1887. Taiping, Perak
Taiping (, Jawi: ; zh, t=太平, , Hokkien: Thài-pêng; ta, தைப்பிங்) is a town located in Larut, Matang and Selama District, Perak, Malaysia. It is located approximately northwest of Ipoh, the capital of Perak, and southeast of George Town, Penang. Maxwell Hill
Bukit Larut is a hill resort in Malaysia located in the state of Perak, Malaysia, 10 kilometres southwest from Taiping. It was established under the direction of British colonists in 1884 as a place of observation for tin mining activity and as a retreat for the English people who were based in nearby Larut and Taiping.
