George Christopher (born George Wilson, 5 March 1970) is a British actor & Author. He is best known for his teenage role as Liverpudlian scamp Ziggy Greaves in Grange Hill, a role he played from 1986 to 1989. The character was a hit with viewers, and Wilson himself has compared his alter-ego with the series' original hero, Tucker Jenkins."From Grange Hill To Albert Square...And Beyond"; a celebration of 20 years of Grange Hill, broadcast New Year's Day 1998 on BBC1. After Grange Hill, Wilson took on another high-profile role in the Channel 4 soap Brookside, as Little Jimmy Corkhill. He played the drug addict son of Jimmy Corkhill senior. Peter "Tucker" Jenkins is a main character of British children's drama series ''Grange Hill'', who appeared as a main cast member in the first four series. "Little" James 'Jimmy' Corkhill Jr. is a fictional character in the Channel 4 soap opera ''Brookside''. He was portrayed by George Christopher and first appeared between 1991 and 1992. Little Jimmy resented his father, Jimmy for a number of years having caught him having sex with his aunt, Val Walker. In 1996, Little Jimmy returned to Brookside Close after spending time in a French prison for drug-related offences. Jimmy Corkhill is a fictional character from ''Brookside (TV series), Brookside'', played by Dean Sullivan, who joined the series in 1986. Hillsborough Disaster
The Hillsborough disaster was a fatal crowd crush at a football match at Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, on 15 April 1989. It occurred during an FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest in the two standing-only central pens within the Leppings Lane stand allocated to Liverpool supporters. Shortly before kick-off, police match commander David Duckenfield ordered exit gate C to be opened in an attempt to ease crowding, which led to an influx of supporters entering the pens. This resulted in overcrowding of those pens and the fatal crush; with a total of 97 fatalities and 766 injuries, the disaster is the deadliest in British sporting history. Ninety-four people died on the day; one more died in hospital days later, Tony Bland died in 1993, and in 2021, Andrew Devine, the 97th person died.
