Georg Kohler (philosopher)
Georg Kohler (born in Konolfingen, Bern, Switzerland in 1945) is a Swiss philosopher. He is a professor emeritus of Political philosophy, Political Philosophy at University of Zurich. He is also a publicist and an author. He has written books on political philosophy and modern day Swiss politics and also collaborated with other writers including Hermann Lübbe. Kohler's early education was in grammar schools. He then studied philosophy at the university of Zurich. In 1978 he completed his Licentiate (degree)#Switzerland, Licentiate degree of Jurisprudence, Jurisprudenz (law) from the University of Zurich. Until 1980 he held the post of Assistant of Philosophical Seminars at the university but moved away to manage the family business in Vienna. He returned to teaching in 1992 and joined the Geschwister Scholl-Institute at the University of Munich. The University of Zürich (UZH, german: Universität Zürich) is a public research university located in the city of Zürich, Switzerland. It is the largest university in Switzerland, with its 28,000 enrolled students. Konrad Hummler (born 13 March 1953 in St. Gallen) is a Swiss businessman, publicist and former private banker. Early life and education Hummler had a bourgeois upbringing in the city of St. Gallen. He was the son of former national councillor and attorney Alfred Hummler (1915-2010) and Verena (née Stucki). He completed his Matura at ''Kantonsschule am Burggraben'' before studying law at University of Zurich (doctorate) and economics at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York ( MBA). After his studies he launched his banking career at Swiss Bank Corporation (today's UBS) in 1981. Initially, as a financial analyst and later as personal assistant to chairman Robert Holzach. History and profile The paper was first published under the name ''Tages-Anzeiger für Stadt und Kanton Zürich'' in 1893. The founder was a German, Wilhelm Girardet. ''Blick'' is a Swiss German-language daily newspaper, and online news website covering current affairs, entertainment, sports and lifestyle. History and profile ''Blick'' was established in 1959. The newspaper was the first Swiss tabloid publication. The format of ''Blick'' was broadsheet until 2005 when it was switched to tabloid. Konolfingen
Konolfingen is a municipality in the Bern-Mittelland administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. History Konolfingen village is first mentioned in 1148 as ''Chonolfingen''. It is a relatively new municipality, having been formed from the union of Gysenstein and Stalden in 1933. While the current municipality is relatively new, Konolfingen village was an important local administrative center. Under the Counts of Kyburg and later the city of Bern, Konolfingen was the center of a district, the home of the high court and the execution grounds. Originally the town was owned by the Lords of Krauchtal, but in either 1397 or 1424, they donated Konolfingen to Thorberg Abbey.
