General Authority Of Civil Aviation (Syria)
The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) () is the Civil aviation authority of Syria. It is responsible for regulation of air transport services and the implementation of civil air regulations, air safety and airworthiness standards. It also co-ordinates all regulatory functions with International Civil Aviation Organization. The GACA headquarters is in Damascus. History In January 2001, a delegation from the Syrian Civil Aviation Administration, led by Director General Hussain Mahfoud, held bilateral discussions in Damascus with the Tunisian Civil Aviation Authority, represented by Director Ezz Eldeen Lagha.
