2010 United States House Of Representatives Elections In Michigan
Elections were held on November 2, 2010, to determine Michigan's 15 members of the United States House of Representatives. Representatives were elected for two-year terms to serve in the 112th United States Congress from January 3, 2011, until January 3, 2013. Primary elections were held on August 3, 2010. Of the 15 elections, the 1st, 7th and 9th districts were rated as competitive by ''Sabato's Crystal Ball'', ''CQ Politics'' and ''The Rothenberg Political Report'', while ''The Cook Political Report'' rated the 1st, 3rd, 7th and 9th districts as competitive. Three of Michigan's fifteen incumbents (Bart Stupak of the 1st district, Pete Hoekstra of the 2nd district and Vern Ehlers of the 3rd district) did not seek re-election. The Songwriters Hall of Fame (SHOF) is an American institution founded in 1969 by songwriter Johnny Mercer, music publisher/songwriter Abe Olman, and publisher/executive Howie Richmond to honor those whose work represent and maintain the heritage and legacy of a spectrum of the most beloved English language songs from the world's popular music songbook. It not only celebrates these established songwriters, but is also involved in the development of new English language songwriting talent through workshops, showcases, and scholarships. There are many programs designed to teach and discover new English language songwriters. Nile Rodgers serves as the organization's chairman. The Hall of Fame was formed in 1969, and in 2010, an exhibit was put on display online inside the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live in Los Angeles. Gene Goldman
Arthur Eugene "Gene" Goldman (born November 10, 1953) is the executive director for Aerojet's Southeast Space Operations division. Before retiring from NASA in August 2012, he last served as acting director of the Marshall Space Flight Center located in Huntsville, Alabama. He was appointed as acting director effective March 5, 2012, following the promotion of the previous director, Robert M. Lightfoot, Jr., to Acting Associate Administrator of NASA. Goldman earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University in 1977. Goldman joined NASA in 1990 as a project engineer in the Marshall Shuttle Project Integration Office. Goldman currently serves as the BWXT Director of NASA Programs. Eugene Goodman (born 1980) is an American United States Capitol Police officer who diverted invading rioters from the United States Senate chamber during the January 6 United States Capitol attack, January 6 Capitol attack.
