Gavin Campbell (music Producer)
Gavin Campbell is an Australian club DJ and remixer based in Melbourne, Victoria. He created the Electronic dance music, dance music production outfit known as Filthy Lucre, which is known for its 1991 remix of Yothu Yindi's single "Treaty", known as "Treaty (Filthy Lucre remix)". He is also the founder of Razor Recordings, formerly known as Razor Records. DJ Gavin Campbell was a renowned DJ at many Melbourne nightclub, clubs of the 1980s and 1990s, including the highly successful Razor, along with Tasty (nightclub), Tasty, Savage, Bump! and others. The Tasty nightclub raid, in which Victoria Police raided the club and mistreated its predominantly LGBTQI clientele in 1994, brought the club to public attention, and was a seminal event in the history of gay rights in Australia. A remix, also sometimes called reorchestration or rework, is a piece of media which has been altered or contorted from its original state by adding, removing, or changing pieces of the item. Mushroom Records was an Australian flagship record label, founded in 1972 in Melbourne. It published and distributed many successful Australian artists and expanded internationally, until it was merged with Festival Records in 1998. Kiss FM is a narrowcast dance music station based in Melbourne, broadcasting on various frequencies between 87.6 and 88.0 FM in Melbourne. Evangeline (musician)
''Evangeline, A Tale of Acadie'' is an epic poem by the American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, written in English and published in 1847. The poem follows an Acadian girl named Evangeline and her search for her lost love Gabriel during the expulsion of the Acadians (1755–1764). The idea for the poem came from Longfellow's friend Nathaniel Hawthorne. Longfellow used dactylic hexameter, imitating Greek and Latin classics. Though the choice was criticized, it became Longfellow's most famous work in his lifetime and remains one of his most popular and enduring works. Hunters And Collectors
Hunters & Collectors are an Australian rock band from Melbourne, formed in 1981. Fronted by founding member, singer-songwriter and guitarist Mark Seymour, the band's other mainstays are John Archer on bass guitar and Doug Falconer on drums and percussion. Soon after forming they were joined by Jack Howard on trumpet and keyboards, Jeremy Smith (Australian musician), Jeremy Smith on French horn, guitars and keyboards, and Michael Waters on trombone and keyboards.
