WKGR (98.7 FM) is a mainstream rock station licensed to Wellington, Florida and serving the West Palm Beach market. Owned by iHeartMedia, it transmits at 100,000 watts effective radiated power with an antenna height above average terrain of . WKGR's signal can be picked up as far north as Melbourne, as far west as Moore Haven, and usually no further south than Interstate 595 in Fort Lauderdale. Its transmitter is located on the west side of Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound. George Gater
Brigadier-General Sir George Henry Gater (26 December 1886 – 14 January 1963) was a senior British Army officer and civil servant. Early life Gater was born in Southampton, the son of William Henry Gater, a solicitor, and his wife, Ada Mary Welch. He was educated at Twyford School, Winchester College and New College, Oxford. After he achieved fourth in classical moderations (1907), he graduated with a second-class degree in modern history in 1909, and then took a diploma in education. He trained as a teacher, and became Director of Education for Nottinghamshire County Council in 1911. First World War Upon the outbreak of the First World War, Gater enlisted as a second lieutenant in the Sherwood Foresters, his local regiment. and promoted to lieutenant in October. John Gater
John Gater, is a British archaeological geophysicist who featured regularly on the Channel 4 archaeological television series ''Time Team''. Biography He was educated at the University of Bradford and graduated with a BSc Archaeological Sciences in 1979. He worked with British Gas (for five years), the Ancient Monuments Laboratory (English Heritage) and Bradford University Research. In 1983 he became a member of the Institute of Field Archaeologists (CIfA) and is now also an associate editor for the ''Journal of Archaeological Prospection''. In 1986 he founded Geophysical Surveys of Bradford (GSB), an independent consultancy in geophysics for archaeology, which was later acquired by the SUMO Group in 2012. On 21 July 2006, Gater was awarded an honorary Doctor of Science by the University of Bradford for his "distinguished contributions to the field of Archaeological Geophysics". Roy Gater
Roy Gater (22 June 1940 – 1 May 2017) was an English footballer who played for Port Vale, Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic, Crewe Alexandra, Weymouth, Dorchester Town and Christchurch. He made 412 league and cup appearances in a 13-year career in the Football League. Career Gater passed through the Port Vale youth team to sign professional forms under Norman Low in April 1960. He made his debut on 4 April 1961, in a 1–1 draw with Coventry City at Highfield Road. He played one further Third Division game in 1960–61, and was also a member of the side that won the Supporters' Clubs' Trophy. He only made three league and two FA Cup appearances at Vale Park during the 1961–62 season. He was sold to Bill McGarry's Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic for a "small fee" in June 1962.
