Gary Jones (born September 1956) is a former American labor union leader, who was convicted of embezzlement. Jones began working as a furnace operator for the Ford Motor Company in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, in 1975. There, he joined the United Auto Workers (UAW). He qualified as an accountant, and in 1990, began working in the UAW's accountancy department. He became the union's chief accountant in 1991, and then in 1995 became assistant to the union's secretary-treasurer. In 2004, he was appointed as assistant director of the union's Region 5, covering the west and southwest of the United States, and then became director of the region in 2014. In 2018, Jones was elected as president of the UAW, arguing for the union to be more militant, to work for social justice, and to support local communities. Gary Jones is a United States businessman and Republican politician from Oklahoma. He is the former Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector. Personal Jones was born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, the fifth of seven children. He graduated from Cameron University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Business Administration/Accounting degree. Jones is both a certified public accountant and a certified fraud examiner. While in college, Jones worked for Southwestern Bell. After 10 years Jones left to start his own telecommunications company, which he sold 16 years later. Jones has operated a cow-calf operation for over 30 years in addition to his other ventures. Gary J. Jones, (born 1953) is a British nurse and author. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Nursing, the Florence Nightingale Foundation and the Faculty of Emergency Nursing. He is the editor and/or author of a number of journals and published articles about nursing. In 1969, Jones began his nursing career as a hospital cadet at Orsett Hospital, Essex. He qualified as a nurse in 1974. He then trained as an ophthalmic nurse at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, before returning to Orsett Hospital. Gary Jones (born 17 July 1960) is a Welsh former rugby union international. A native of Porth, Jones was a Ystrad Rhondda RFC product who played as a back-rower. He captained Pontypridd during his time at the club in the early 1980s and it was there that he acquired his nickname "Boomer". After leaving Pontypridd in 1985, he joined Llanelli, where he would appear in over 200 games and play in four Welsh Cup wins. Capped five times for Wales, Jones was a replacement for the 1988 tour of New Zealand and debuted in the 2nd Test in Auckland. He featured twice in the 1989 Five Nations, including Wales' win over England. His fourth cap was against the touring All Blacks later that year and he made his final appearance versus France in the 1990 Five Nations. Formerly, Jones was the third-base coach of the Chicago Cubs from 2014 to 2017 and the first-base coach of the Oakland Athletics in 1998. Gary Jones (born April 22, 1952) is an American former professional motocross and desert racer. He competed in the AMA Motocross Championships from 1971 to 1976. Jones is notable for winning the inaugural AMA 250cc motocross national championship in 1972. Jones then successfully defended his national championship in 1973 and 1974, winning three consecutive 250cc motocross national championships while competing on three different brands of motorcycles, a feat which has never been repeated in AMA motocross history.
