Gareth Chilcott
Gareth James Chilcott (born 20 November 1956 in Bristol) is a former rugby union player, who played at prop for Bath and England. He made his England debut against Australia in 1984. He toured with the British Lions in Australia in 1989, together with, among others, Andy Robinson and Jeremy Guscott. He acted in the revived stage play Up 'n' Under which was set around a rugby league sevens tournament. Chilcott is also a Bristol City supporter and goes to many home and away games. He appeared in a rugby special of ''Come Dine with Me'' with Martin Offiah, Victor Ubogu, and Kyran Bracken which was shown in September 2011. In 2012, Chilcott establisheVenatour a sports travel company based in Cheltenham. He also hosts a regular online opinion show, Cooch's Corner, featuring opinion and rugby guests. Victor Ubogu
Victor Eriakpo Ubogu (born 8 September 1964) is a retired rugby player who played for Bath and England national team. Travel to England and schooling In 1977, after arriving in the United Kingdom from Lagos, Nigeria, he attended West Buckland School in Devon. He received the school's top award, the Fortescue Medal. While at the school, he played for England Under-18s. He went on to the University of Birmingham to study chemical engineering. While at university, he played for Moseley. He went on to St Anne's College, Oxford, where he was selected to play with the University of Oxford RFC and achieved his Blue. Professional career After leaving Oxford, he joined Bath Rugby. He started for Bath in the victorious 1998 Heineken Cup Final as they defeated Brive. In 1992, he became a prop for the England national rugby union team, where he remained until 1999. Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby. It supports children and young people with disabilities or living in disadvantage in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Since 1983, Wooden Spoon has committed more than £29 million to more than 1,300 projects, supporting over 1.4 million disabled and disadvantaged children and young people. History Wooden Spoon was founded in 1983 after five England rugby supporters went to Dublin to watch England in the final game of the Five Nations Championship against the Irish. The game was lost 25–15 and England finished last in the table with just a single point gained from their draw against Wales. After the match, in a Dublin bar, five England supporters were presented with a wooden spoon by their Irish friends. Accepting the gift, the England fans decided to hold a golf match to see who would keep the wooden spoon.
