Gambheeram Reservoir
Gambheeram Reservoir is a medium-scale reservoir in Gambhiram, Gambheeram, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The dam on the tank was constructed in 1954 with the foundation stone being llaid by the then Finance and Law Minister Tenneti Viswanadham, Tenneti Viswanatham on May 19, 1954. The main inflow is from the Gambheeram Gedda, which joins the Bay of Bengal at Mangamaripeta. The reservoir is situated north to the Kambalakonda Wildlife Sanctuary. It serves as a water source for the Vizag city and it's capacity is 126 feet. There were plans to lay pipelines to connect Mudasarlova Reservoir, Mudasarlova reservoir with the Gambheeram reservoir. There have been at least five instances of people drowning in the reservoir in recent years and swimming is prohibited. References

Tenneti Viswanadham
Tenneti Viswanadham (1895–1979) was born into Telugu speaking Brahmin family. He was a political figure from Visakhapatnam, on the east coast of India. He took an active part in India's struggle for independence. He is remembered now for his role in the establishment of a modern and shore-based steel plant at Visakhapatnam. Kambalakonda Wildlife Sanctuary
The Kambalakonda Wildlife Sanctuary is a forest located near Visakhapatnam. It has been under the control of Andhra Pradesh Forest Department since 10 March 1970. Earlier the land was under the control of Maharajah of Vizianagaram. It was named after the local hillock Kambalakonda. It is a dry evergreen forest mixed with scrub and meadows and covers an area of 70.70 square kilometers. The indicator species is the Indian leopard. Geography The sanctuary is located from latitudes of 17.34° N to 17.47° N and longitudes of 83.04° E to 83.20° E.
