Fussball-Club Luzern (), or simply abbreviated to FCL, is a Swiss sports club based in Lucerne (). It is best known for its professional association football, football team, which plays in the Swiss Super League, Super League, the top tier of the Football in Switzerland, Swiss football league system, and has won the List of Swiss football champions, national title once and the Swiss Cup, national cup three times. The club colours are blue and white, derived from the City of Lucerne and Canton of Lucerne coats of arms. Swissporarena
Swissporarena is a multi-use stadium in Lucerne, Switzerland, completed in 2011. It is used mostly for football matches and hosts the home matches of FC Luzern of the Swiss Super League. The stadium has a capacity of 16,800 spectators, including an away fans' section fitted with 390 rail seats for safe standing. It replaced the demolished Stadion Allmend. The stadium was due to open earlier in the year, but several problems during construction changed the plans. In February 2011, the club announced the new season ticket prices for their return home. The stadium held its first match, a 0–0 draw against FC Thun on 31 July 2011. FC Grenchen is a Swiss football club, based in Grenchen. They currently play in the 2. Liga, and play their matches at the Brühl Stadium. History FC Grenchen was founded in 1906. In 1937 they gained promotion to the top league of Swiss football, Nationalliga A, in these inter-war years they came runners-up in this league three times, and runner up in the cup, but their biggest success came post-war coming second in the league one further time and winning the cup in 1959.
