Friends Of Estonia In The Parliament Of Norway
Friends of Estonia in the Parliament of Norway () is a pro-Estonia caucus group consisting of Members of the Parliament of Norway. The Friends of Estonia in the Parliament of Norway was founded in November 2009, largely by the initiative of Progress Party politician Jørund Rytman. At the founding meeting of the group, more than twenty Members of Parliament joined in. Although Rytman found many good things about the country, the market liberal economic policies were cited as one of the most appreciated policies. Rytman also cited the country's low taxes, highly ranked internet and computer services and coverage, an all-around ID-card used for many public and private services, and a reduction of bureaucracy, with "100 percent" of the public sector being on the internet. Ingjerd Schou, née Schie (born 20 January 1955) is a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. Born in Sarpsborg, Schou was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Østfold in 2001. From 2001, when the second cabinet Bondevik held office, Schou was Minister of Social Affairs. She was replaced in a 2004 cabinet reshuffle. Torgeir Trældal (born 1965) is a Norwegian politician and member of parliament from representing Nordland for the Progress Party. Trældal is from Narvik and served in the city council as leader of the opposition in that town until his election to parliament. In 2006, Trældal was sued by the against leaders in Narvik Energi for alleged slanderous statements about economic misconduct in the energy company.
