Brad Johner
Bradley Robert Johner (born February 4, 1969) is a Canadian country music singer. Biography Johner was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan and grew up on a farm near Midale, Saskatchewan playing music in his family band. When he was 16, Brad won a National Talent Contest during Country Music Week in Hamilton in 1982. He spent six years maintaining his solo career before teaming up with his brother Ken to form The Johner Brothers in 1988. After 14 years, six albums (including their ''Greatest Hits''), 26 singles, one Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) award and more than 40 awards from the Saskatchewan Country Music Association (SCMA), including Entertainer of the Decade, Ken decided to retire from the music business to pursue other interests in 2002. Steve Fox (musician)
Steve Fox is a Canadian country music singer-songwriter based in Nashville. He is best known for writing "Moving to a Small Town" and Montgomery Gentry's hit song "Daddy Won't Sell the Farm", which went Platinum and Gold in the United States. As an independent performing artist in Canada, he has toured with Kenny Rogers, opened for country stars including Dwight Yoakum and Michelle Wright, and headlined at festivals including the Calgary Stampede. The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) was founded in 1976 as the Academy of Country Music Entertainment to organize, promote and develop a Canadian country music industry. The groundwork for the association began on June 3, 1973, when a group of twelve entertainers, promoters and radio personalities met at The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, Ontario, and formed a board of directors to help promote Canadian content.
