Français Volants is an ice hockey team in Paris, France. They are currently playing in FFHG Division 2, the third level of French ice hockey. History The club was founded in 1933 by Jacques Lacarrière, a French ice hockey player. Volants regularly participated in the top-level of French ice hockey from the 1930s until the 1990s, winning the championship four times, in 1936, 1937, 1938, and 1989. They also won the Coupe de France in 1987. Their last appearance in the highest-level league came during the 1990-91 season. FFHG Division 2
FFHG Division 2 (Fédération Française de Hockey sur Glace Division 2 or French Ice Hockey Federation Division 2) is an amateur ice hockey league in France. It is the third of four levels of national ice hockey in France. The teams that end at the bottom of the table get relegated to FFHG Division 3 while the top get promoted to FFHG Division 1. André Peloffy
André Charles Peloffy (born February 25, 1951) is a French former professional ice hockey forward. He was the first person born in France to play in the National Hockey League (NHL), and played 9 games with the Washington Capitals during the 1974–75 season. He also played 10 games in the World Hockey Association with the New England Whalers during the 1977–78 season, and then spent several years in the French league before retiring in 1996. Internationally Peloffy played in several World Championships, as well as the 1988 Winter Olympics. Patrice Lefebvre
Patrice Lefebvre (born June 28, 1967) is a Canadian-born Italian former ice hockey player. Lefebvre played three games in the National Hockey League for the Washington Capitals during the 1998–99 NHL season. Biography Lefebvre was born in Montreal, Quebec. As a youth, he played in the 1979 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Ville-Émard. Despite putting up impressive numbers with the Shawinigan Cataractes in the QMJHL he was never drafted by an NHL-team, possibly due to his small stature (Lefebvre is listed as 5 ft 6 in (1,68 m) and 160 lb (73 kg)). Eliezer "Elie" Alexeevich Sherbatov ( he, אליעזר שרבטוב; born 9 October 1991) is an Israeli-Canadian ice hockey player who plays for the Jonquière Marquis of the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey, after having played for HC Mariupol of the Ukrainian Hockey League until the Russian invasion in February of 2022.
