The song was written by O'Neal, Lisa Drew, and Shaye Smith, which was the same writing team as her number one single "There Is No Arizona"; it was also produced by Keith Stegall. It was released on March 11, 2002, via Mercury Nashville, as the fifth and final single from her debut studio album ''Shiver'' (2000). It reached number 41, becoming her first single to chart outside the top-forty. Music video Keech Rainwater directed the video for "Frantic". It debuted to CMT on March 24, 2002. Jamie O'Neal (born 3 June 1968) is an Australian-American country music singer and songwriter. In 2000, O'Neal released her first studio album, '' Shiver''. The album included the back-to-back number one singles " There Is No Arizona" and " When I Think About Angels". Two other singles were released: the title track, which reached No. 21 on the country charts, and "Frantic", which reached No. 41 in 2002. Aubrey E. Haynie (born March 27, 1974) is an American bluegrass musician who plays the fiddle and mandolin. In his career, he has recorded three studio albums for the Sugar Hill Records label, all three of which contained mostly songs that he wrote himself. He also holds several credits as a session fiddler and mandolinist. Biography Early influences When Haynie was nine, he began taking fiddle lessons from his grandmother's cousin, a man named Ted Locke.
