Frank Arneil Walker OBE is a Scottish architectural academic and writer. He is emeritus professor of architecture of the University of Strathclyde. He writes regularly on architectural and urban history, is author of ''The South Clyde Estuary'', and co-author of ''The North Clyde Estuary'' and ''Central Glasgow'' in the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland series of handbooks on Scottish architecture. Frank Walker (Scottish Footballer)
Francis Gemmell Fulton Walker (1897–1949) was a Scottish professional footballer who made over 180 appearances as an inside forward in the Scottish League for Third Lanark. He was capped by Scotland at international level. Personal life Walker attended Paisley Grammar School and his two older brothers, Willie and Jim, also played football for Queen's Park. After leaving school, he took up a job as a civil servant. In March 1917, during the First World War, Walker was called up to serve with the Royal Field Artillery. Holding the rank of bombardier, he was part of the Army of Occupation and was stationed in Cologne. Frank Walker (March 29, 1843 – August 26, 1916) was a lumberman, a contractor, a builder, a city official and an inventor in the Pacific Coast of the United States and British Columbia at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Personal Walker was born on March 29, 1843, in Ancaster, Ontario, or in Kincardine, Ontario, the son of Canadians Francis Walker and Elizabeth Hudson. Walker was married twice: His first wife, Delia, died at their home, 129 South Olive Street, on September 28, 1891. He married again, to Sarah Gibson of Texas, who died on October 1, 1910. He had one child, Frank Harvey. Walker died at home on August 26, 1916. Ltd., the parent company of the ''Jersey Evening Post'', the Island's only daily newspaper. Francis Patrick "Frank" Walker (born 10 September 1933) is a retired Australian rules footballer who played for Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), and also represented Western Australia. He was educated at Aquinas College in Salter Point, where he was mentored in football by Jerry Dolan. He was also playing club football for South Perth under East Perth great Mick Cronin. Walker trained with East Perth in 1951, even attending a trip to Collie with them and playing a scratch match against South Fremantle. Francis Buckley Walker (October 24, 1889 – October 15, 1963) was an American talent agent and author from the New York City area. Some of his talent discoveries included country music singer Hank Williams, blues singer Bessie Smith and banjoist Samantha Bumgarner. He is known for running the Johnson City sessions from 1928 to 1929, which launched the careers of various artists including Charlie Bowman and Clarence Ashley. In 1923, Walker became the head of A&R for Columbia Records and RCA Victor. His career as a talent agent lasted for over 40 years until his death in 1963. He was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly representing Georges River between 1970 and 1988 and subsequently a member of the Australian House of Representatives representing Robertson between 1990 and 1996, both for the Australian Labor Party. During his parliamentary careers, Walker held a range of ministerial responsibilities. He was the first New South Wales Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and was responsible for some of the first legislation that recognized the obligation to financially compensate indigenous Australians for the loss of their land.
