Frank Hall (24 February 1921 – 21 September 1995) was an Irish broadcaster, journalist, satirist and film censor. He is best remembered for his satirical revue programme ''Hall's Pictorial Weekly''. Early life Born in Newry, County Down, Hall received little more than a primary education as he left school at the age of twelve to work in a local shop. Frank Hall (drummer)
Frank Hall (born 29 October 1949) is an English musician and drummer. He was a founder member of the pioneering 1960s-1970s rock band Necromandus, widely hailed as the second Black Sabbath, and by Melody Maker as "Black Sabbath play Yes". After Necromandus, Hall collaborated with Ozzy Osbourne's first solo project after leaving Black Sabbath. Biography Hall was born in Whitehaven in Cumbria. His first project was with local band, Heaven. But in 1968 he formed Necromandus with fellow musicians from Whitehaven and Egremont. Hall had meant to call the band Nostradamus, but they liked Necromandus, and the name stuck. The band was quickly taken up by Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath, who produced its first album Orexis of Death in 1973, and invited the band to support Black Sabbath on their UK tour. Frank Hall (1860 – 2 December 1927) was an English trade unionist. Hall began working at a coal mine at the age of ten, becoming a checkweighman sixteen years later. He became active in the Derbyshire Miners' Association, and was elected as its treasurer in 1907, then when W. E. Harvey died in 1914, he was elected as the new general secretary. Frank Haven Hall
Frank Haven Hall (February 9, 1841 – January 3, 1911) was an American inventor and essayist who is credited with inventing the Hall braille writer and the stereographer machine. He also invented the first successful mechanical point writer and developed major functions of modern day typography with kerning and tracking. Born in Mechanic Falls, Maine he served in the Union Army's Maine Volunteers during the American Civil War. After the war he attended Bates College in Lewiston before initiating a teaching career. From 1862 to 1867, he taught at private and public schools throughout the greater Illinois area. While in Illinois, he held the political offices of postmaster, township treasurer, and clerk. He also owned and operated a general store, a lumberyard, and a creamery. In between his teaching and business interests he began to pursue a career in invention.
