Frank Bernarducci
Frank Bernarducci (born September 23, 1959) is a New York City art dealer and curator. He is currently the owner of Bernarducci Gallery, located at 525 West 25th Street in New York, NY. Bernarducci began exhibiting Graffiti art in the 1980s in the East Village while being the director of Frank Bernarducci Gallery. Bernarducci continues to curate exhibitions featuring emerging and seasoned artists. His gallery is known for exhibiting realist and Photorealist art. Education and early career Bernarducci attended the School of Visual Arts from 1979 to 1982 and received his bachelor's degree in Media Arts, specifically graphic design and advertising, working as an advertising art director while still at school. While at SVA, Bernarducci also minored in film, living in a loft on East 17th Street off Union Square, a half block from Andy Warhol’s factory. Seen (artist)
Richard "Richie" Mirando, known as Seen UA (born 1961) is an American graffiti artist. He is one of the best known graffiti artists in the world and has been referred to as the Godfather of Graffiti. Seen first started to paint on the New York City Subway system in 1973. His crew, United Artists (or simply UA), which included Duster, Sin, and his brother Mad, painted whole cars. He was born in the Bronx, New York City. Life For the next 16 years he painted pieces across the city and on all subway routes, but they were especially prominent on the 2, 5, and 6 trains. He was responsible for dozens of whole-car top-to-bottoms, many of which have become iconic images of the time. Richard Estes
Richard Estes (born May 14, 1932 in Kewanee, Illinois) is an American artist, best known for his photorealist paintings. The paintings generally consist of reflective, clean, and inanimate city and geometric landscapes. He is regarded as one of the founders of the international photo-realist movement of the late 1960s, with such painters as John Baeder, Chuck Close, Robert Cottingham, Audrey Flack, Ralph Goings, and Duane Hanson. Author Graham Thompson writes "One demonstration of the way photography became assimilated into the art world is the success of photorealist painting in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Tom Wesselmann
Thomas K. Wesselmann (February 23, 1931 – December 17, 2004) was an American artist associated with the Pop Art movement who worked in painting, collage and sculpture. Early years Wesselmann was born in Cincinnati. From 1949 to 1951 he attended college in Ohio; first at Hiram College, and then transferred to major in Psychology at the University of Cincinnati. He was drafted into the US Army in 1952, but spent his service years stateside. During that time he made his first cartoons, and became interested in pursuing a career in cartooning. After his discharge he completed his psychology degree in 1954, whereupon he began to study drawing at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. He achieved some initial success when he sold his first cartoon strips to the magazines ''1000 Jokes'' and ''True.'' Cooper Union accepted him in 1956, and he continued his studies in New York. Antonio López García (born 6 January 1936) is a Spanish painter and sculptor, known for his realistic style.
