Francesco De' Pazzi
Francesco de' Pazzi (28 January 1444 – 26 April 1478) was a Florence, Florentine banker, a member of the Pazzi, Pazzi noble family, and one of the instigators of the Pazzi conspiracy, a plot to displace the House of Medici, Medici family as rulers of the Republic of Florence, Florentine Republic. His uncle, Jacopo de' Pazzi, was one of the main organizers of the conspiracy. On 26 April 1478, Easter Sunday, there was an attempt to assassinate Lorenzo de' Medici and his brother and co-ruler Giuliano de' Medici, Giuliano while both were attending Solemn Mass, High Mass at the Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral in Florence. Giuliano was murdered by Francesco and Bernardo Baroncelli, who inflicted a fatal sword wound to the head before stabbing him 19 times; however, Lorenzo survived the attack, having been merely wounded by the other conspirators. Giuliano De' Medici
Giuliano de' Medici (28 October 1453 – 26 April 1478) was the second son of Piero de' Medici (the Gouty) and Lucrezia Tornabuoni. As co-ruler of the Florentine Republic, with his brother Lorenzo the Magnificent, he complemented his brother's image as the "patron of the arts" with his own image as the handsome, sporting "golden boy". He was killed in a plot known as the Pazzi conspiracy in 1478. Personal life In 1478, Giuliano was promised in marriage to Semiramide Appiani Aragona, daughter of Iacopo III Appiani, Prince of Piombino and niece of Simonetta Vespucci, though died before the wedding could take place. Francesco Salviati (bishop)
Francesco Salviati (1443 – 1478) was the archbishop of Pisa from 1474 to 1478. He was one of the organisers of the Pazzi conspiracy, a plot to displace the Medici family as rulers of the Florentine Republic; he was executed after the failure of the plot. Biography A blood-member of the Salviati family (to whom Pope Sixtus IV had re-awarded the papal banking contract after taking it away from the Medici), he was also related by marriage to the Pazzi, Medici, Vettori, and other powerful families.
