ICC World Cricket League Division Four
ICC World Cricket League Division Four forms part of the World Cricket League (WCL) system. Like all other divisions, WCL Division Four is contested as a standalone tournament rather than as an actual league. The inaugural Division Four tournament was held in 2008, hosted by Tanzania. Subsequent tournaments have been held in 2010 (in Italy), 2012 (in Malaysia), 2014 (in Singapore), and 2016 (in the United States). Both the number of teams (six) and tournament format ( round-robin followed by playoffs) have remained unchanged between editions. Because the WCL operates on a system of promotion and relegation, teams generally only participate in one or two Division Four tournaments before being either promoted to Division Three or relegated to Division Five. In total, sixteen teams have played in at least one Division Four tournament. Afghanistan and Hong Kong, the inaugural Division Four finalists, have gone on to much greater success, both currently holding One Day Internation ...

Lebanese Fourth Division
The Lebanese football league system (), also known as the Lebanese football pyramid, is a series of interconnected leagues for men's association football clubs in Lebanon. The system has a hierarchical format with promotion and relegation between leagues at different levels, allowing even the smallest club the theoretical possibility of ultimately rising to the very top of the system. There are five individual leagues, containing 30 groups. The exact number of clubs varies from year to year as clubs join and leave leagues, fold or merge altogether, but an estimated average of 7 clubs per group implies that about 200 clubs are members of a league in the Lebanese men's football league system. Structure Men The Lebanese football pyramid is composed of five leagues, all governed by the Lebanese Football Association, which operate on a system of promotion and relegation. The first tier of Lebanese football is the Lebanese Premier League, which is made up of 12 teams. Next is the Leb ...

Promotion And Relegation
Promotion and relegation is used by sports leagues as a process where teams can move up and down among divisions in a league system, based on their performance over a season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are sometimes called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in a lower division are ''promoted'' to a higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. During the season, teams that are high enough in the league table that they would qualify for promotion are sometimes said to be in the ''promotion zone'', and those at the bottom are in the ''relegation zone'' (colloquially the ''drop zone'' or ''facing the drop''). These can also involve being in zones where promotion and relegation is not automatic but subject to a playoff, such as in the EFL Championship where teams 3rd to 6th enter a playoff for promotion to the ...
