Four Corners Cup
The Four Corners Cup was a regional soccer competition among the USL Championship clubs located in states that intersect at the Four Corners: Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, New Mexico United, Phoenix Rising FC and Real Monarchs, Real Monarchs SLC. The four clubs played each other home and away in a round robin format, with the champion determined by total points accumulated. The competition was canceled during the 2021 as Phoenix Rising were assigned to a separate division, preventing round-robin play. In 2022, the Real Monarchs moved the MLS Next Pro league, ending the competition. 2019 2020 On June 24, the league announced the structure of its Return To Play format, separating the league into eight separate groups for regional competitions. Four Corners Region
The Four Corners is a region of the Southwestern United States consisting of the southwestern corner of Colorado, southeastern corner of Utah, northeastern corner of Arizona, and northwestern corner of New Mexico. The Four Corners area is named after the quadripoint at the intersection of approximately 37° north latitude with 109° 03' west longitude, where the boundaries of the four states meet, and are marked by the Four Corners Monument. It is the only location in the United States where four states meet. Most of the Four Corners region belongs to semi-autonomous Native American nations, the largest of which is the Navajo Nation, followed by Hopi, Ute, and Zuni tribal reserves and nations. Andrew Brody (born May 3, 1995) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Major League Soccer club Real Salt Lake. Career College Brody spent his entire college career at the University of Louisville. He made a total of 61 appearances for the Cardinals and tallied 9 goals and 15 assists. Ryan David Sierakowski (born August 7, 1997) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for USL League One side Richmond Kickers. Career Youth & College Sierakowski attended Michigan State University, where he played college soccer for four years between 2015 and 2018, making 81 appearances, scoring 33 goals and tallying 16 assists. Bode Hidalgo (born February 22, 2002, as Bode Shane Davis) is an American soccer player who plays as a forward for Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer. Jack James Blake (born 22 September 1994) is a professional footballer who currently plays for USL Championship side Indy Eleven. Born in England, he has represented Scotland at youth level. America First Field (formerly Rio Tinto Stadium and referred to as The RioT) is an American soccer-specific stadium in Sandy, Utah, that serves as home stadium for Major League Soccer club Real Salt Lake.
