Fotios Zoumpos
Fotios Zoumpos (alternate spellings: Fotis, Zoubos) ( el, Φώτης Ζούμπος; born April 4, 1993) is a Greek professional basketball player for Milon of the Greek 3rd division. He is 6 ft 4 in (1.95 m) tall and weighs 190 lb (86 kg). He plays at both the point guard and shooting guard positions. Professional career Zoumpos began his professional career during the 2010–2011 campaign with the Greek Basket League powerhouse Panathinaikos and was a minor part of the EuroLeague-winning squad of that season. During the 2020-2021 season with Apollon Patras, Zoumpos averaged 11.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists, shooting with 40.8% from beyond the arc, 61.7% from the field, and 60% from the free throw line. The team achieved promotion to the Greek Basket League and Zoumpos renewed his contract with them for a fourth season on August 11, 2021. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. They must also be able to adapt to what the defense is allowing and must control the pace of the game. A point guard specializes in certain skills, like other player positions in basketball. Greek Basketball Cup
The Greek Basketball Cup or Hellenic Basketball Cup (Greek: Κύπελλο Ελλάδος καλαθοσφαίρισης ανδρών) is the top-tier level annual pro basketball national cup competition in Greece. It is organized by the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). History and format There were no official nation-wide Greek Cup competitions prior to the 1975–76 season. However, there was a precursor tournament to the Greek Cup, called the Attica State Cup, which was won by AEK, in the 1966–67 and 1970–71 seasons. Panathinaikos Football Club B, known as Panathinaikos B, (Greek: ΠΑΕ Παναθηναϊκός B) is a Greek football club based in Athens, Greece. Founded in 2021, they play as the reserve team of Panathinaikos in the Super League Greece 2. Panathinaikos B is one of four reserve teams givens approval from the EPO ( Hellenic Football Association) to play in the second division.
