Foster-Miller, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of QinetiQ, is an United States, American-based military robotics manufacturer. Its two best-known products are its Foster-Miller_TALON, TALON robots and its LAST Armor. Founded and based in Waltham, Massachusetts, it has offices in Albany, New York, Washington, D.C., and near Boston, Massachusetts, Boston. Foster-Miller became a wholly owned Independent subsidiary of Qinetiq in 2004. Its parent has signed a special security agreement, allowing it to work independently in sensitive projects for US defense. The Foster-Miller TALON is a Remotely operated robot, remotely operated, tracked military robot designed for missions ranging from reconnaissance to combat. It is made by the American robotics company Foster-Miller, QinetiQ-NA, a subsidiary of Qinetiq, QinetiQ. QinetiQ ( as in '' kinetic'') is a British defence technology company headquartered in Farnborough, Hampshire.
