Foshan Metro Group
The Foshan Metro (; branded as FMetro) is the rapid transit system of the city of Foshan in Guangdong, China. Guangfo Metro, Guangfo line is operated by Guangzhou Metro Corporation, and all other lines are operated by the state-owned Foshan Metro Group. It is Urban rail transit in China, the tenth metro system to be built in mainland China. Construction began in 2002 and the first line opened on 3 November 2010. The metro system has one new line and one extension under construction. Guangfo Line
The Guangfo line or Guangfo Metro is a intercity rapid transit, metro line that connects the cities of Foshan and Guangzhou, both in Guangdong province. As of December 2018, the line is currently long and has 25 metro station, stations, which are all underground. History The line was expected to start construction in 2002 with a tentative opening in 2009. However, due to Financial capital, capital shortage, its construction was claimed to be suspended until it resumed in 2007. The section between and was completed in 2010. Kuiqi Lu station () is the interchange station between Guangfo Metro, Guangfo Line (FMetro Line 1) and FMetro Line 2 (Foshan Metro), Line 2. Trial construction began in 2003 and the main project in 2005. The station is located under the junction of Kuiqi Road () and Fenjiang Road () in the Chancheng District of Foshan. Nanhai District (), is a district of Foshan, Guangdong, China. Its government is the first to have developed e-government informatization at the county level in China. History Establishment of Nanhai is traditionally attributed two brothers carrying their father's bowls in 1271. They were fleeing south from the Mongols on a bamboo raft when a violent storm shipwrecked them and broke all the bowls. The brothers settled down there and the position of the wreck is commemorated by a shrine. This area was named Broken Bowls Point.
