Voiebyen is a district in the city of Kristiansand in Agder county, Norway. The district has a population of about 6,000 people in 2014 and it is a part of the borough of Vågsbygd in the southwestern part of the city. Kristiansand Cannon Museum
Kristiansand Cannon Museum is a museum at Møvik, 8 kilometers west of the town centre of Kristiansand, Norway. The museum has collected authentic equipment from a former military installation. The name The coastal artillery fortress was named Batterie Vara (MAB 6./502 Vara) by the Germans, when it was built by the German Wehrmacht during World War II. It was named after Major General Felix Vara, who was killed off Alderney in the English channel on 3 November 1941. After the war, the Norwegian Armed Forces named it Møvik Fort. History The fort was constructed between 1941 and 1944 by the German navy. Together with four other coastal batteries, it formed a part of the ''Kristiansand Artillery Group''. Together with its sister battery at Hanstholm in Denmark, Møvik Fort was built to obstruct Allied naval forces by blocking the Skagerrak strait and the seaways to Eastern Norway, the Kattegatt Bay, the Baltic Sea and the Baltic region for the allied naval forces. Lagmannsholmen
Lagmannsholmen was an island at the entrance to the western part of the harbor of Kristiansand in Agder county, Norway. Starting in 1686, the island was the site of the fleet station for the Danish-Norwegian galley fleet (). Between the years 1750–1758, construction was completed for a new headquarters and main station for History of the Danish navy, the navy at Fredriksvern naval station and shipyard at Stavern in Vestfold. During the 1960s and 1970s, the island was expanded and ultimately connected to the mainland in order to expand the western harbor in the port of Kristiansand. Randesund
Randesund is a village and district within the city of Kristiansand in Agder county, Norway. The district is located within the borough of Oddernes along the southern coastline between the two fjords Kvåsefjorden and Topdalsfjorden and south of the districts of Søm and Hånes. There are several small islands just off the coast of Randesund, including Dvergsøya, Randøya, and Herøya, all popular tourist destinations. Ny-Hellesund
Ny-Hellesund is a village area and outport in Kristiansand municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village area is located on a cluster of three main islands about south of the main harbour at Høllen. The three islands are Monsøya, Helgøya, and Kapelløya. The islands formed an outport because they all have good harbors and approach conditions. Historically, it was part of the old municipality of Søgne, until 2020 when it became part of Kristiansand. Ny-Hellesund has 21 permanent residents (in 2015), but in the summer there are many more temporary residents who live in holiday cottages, guest houses, and boathouses. There is considerable boat traffic through the main channel between the three islands: Hellesundet (Helle Strait).
