The Minister for Foreign Affairs (, , ) is the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Denmark), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. The officeholder is in charge of Danish (Denmark proper, the Faroe Islands and Greenland) foreign policy and international relations. The coat of arms of Denmark () has a lesser and a greater version. The state coat of arms () consists of three pale blue lion (heraldry), lions attitude (heraldry)#Passant, passant wearing crown (heraldic charge), crowns, accompanied by nine red lilypads (normally represented as seeblatt, heraldic hearts), all in a golden shield with the Danish Crown Regalia, royal crown on top. The national coat of arms of Denmark ( — also called ) is similar to the state coat of arms, but without the crown (headgear), royal crown above the shield. It is evolved from the coat of arms of the House of Estridsen, the dynasty which provided the kings of Denmark between 1047 and 1412. Historically, there had been no distinction between the "national" and the "royal" coat of arms. Adam Wilhelm Moltke
Adam Wilhelm Moltke, 3rd Count of Bregentved (25 August 178515 February 1864) was a Danish nobleman, landowner, civil servant and politician, who in 1848–1852 was the first Prime Minister of Denmark under the new constitutional monarchy outlined in 1848 and signed as the Danish Constitution on 5 June 1849 by Frederick VII of Denmark. Early life and education A member of the Danish and German noble family Moltke, Adam Wilhelm Moltke was born on 25 August 1785 at the Einsiedelsborg manor house on the island of Funen, the son of Privy Counsellor Joachim Godske Moltke. His paternal grandfather was Adam Gottlob Moltke, the influential Lord Steward and royal favourite of King Frederick V of Denmark and Norway. As a child, Moltke was tutored by Jacob Peter Mynster, who later became the bishop of Zealand. Career He was known as a humane and patriarchal squire but was no outstanding political figure. Ludvig Nicolaus Von Scheele
Ludvig Nicolaus von Scheele (14 October 1796 – 1 January 1874) was a Danish statesman, serving as Danish Foreign Minister between 1855 and 1857. A political conservative, he also held several senior government positions in Schleswig-Holstein. Life Provenance and early years Scheele was born in Itzehoe, at that time in Holstein. His father was a customs officer who rose to become a Lieutenant Colonel, Benedict "Bendix" Ferdinand von Scheel (1749–1827). An uncle was Lieutenant General Heinrich Otto von Scheel (1745–1808). After several years at school in Hamburg he enrolled as a student at Kiel in 1816, emerging in 1821 with a Glückstadt law degree. In 1822 he took an internship in government service, by 1824 employed as a trainee. In 1827 he was sent as a regional administrator to Hütten, promoted in 1831. The Moltke family is an old German noble family. The family was originally from Mecklenburg, but apart from Germany, some of the family branches also resided throughout Scandinavia. Members of the family have been noted as statesmen, high-ranking military officers and major landowners in Denmark and Prussia. Christian Albrecht Bluhme
Christian Albrecht Bluhme (27 December 1794 – 6 November 1866) was a Danish lawyer and conservative politician who was the second Prime Minister of Denmark (first time from 1852 to 1853 with title of Prime Minister, second time from 1864 to 1865 with title of council president). He led the country during the latter part of the Second Schleswig War. Biography Bluhme was born in Copenhagen, Denmark as the son of a commander in the navy Hans Emilius Bluhme. Bluhme went to Herlufsholm School, where he became a legal candidate in 1816. In 1820 he became an auditor to the 2nd Jutland Regiment and two years after also the assessor in the Land Surveyor. In 1824, he went to the Governing Council in Trankebar.
