The Ford Maverick is a compact car manufactured and marketed by Ford Motor Company, Ford for model years 1970–1977 in the United States, originally as a two-door sedan (automobile), sedan employing a rear-wheel drive automobile platform, platform original to the 1960 Ford Falcon (North America), Falcon—and subsequently as a four-door sedan on the same platform. The Maverick replaced the Falcon in most of the world, but Australia kept selling and developing the Ford Falcon (Australia), Falcon. The is a series of off-road vehicles and full-size SUVs manufactured by Nissan in Japan since 1951 and sold throughout the world. It is Nissan's longest running series of models. The Patrol has been available as either a short-wheelbase (SWB) three-door or a long-wheelbase (LWB) five-door chassis since 1951. The Button car plan, also known as the Button plan, was the informal name given to the Motor Industry Development Plan, a Hawke government initiative intended to rationalise the Australian motor vehicle industry and transition it to lower levels of protection. It took its name from Senator John Button, the then federal Minister for Commerce, Trade and Industry. Ford Maverick (2022)
The Ford Maverick is a four-door, compact pickup truck manufactured and marketed by Ford Motor Company. It was unveiled on June 8, 2021, as Ford's smallest truck, slotted below the mid-size Ford Ranger. Using a front-wheel drive-based unibody platform shared with the Ford Escape and Bronco Sport, the pickup's power train offerings include a gasoline hybrid engine or a turbocharged gasoline engine, the latter available with all-wheel drive.
