For Never
were a Japanese punk rock band formed in June 1980, by leader and vocalist Michiro Endo. After numerous member changes, he disbanded the group in February 1985. In May 1987 Michiro formed a group called Video Stalin, which mostly made videos instead of albums; they disbanded in 1988. In 1989 Michiro created a new band named Stalin and continued to make music with them until 1993. History 1979: Jiheitai Circa 1979, Michiro Endo, a 29-year-old socialist activist, formed a punk band called . ''Stop Jap'' is the second album by Japanese hardcore punk band The Stalin, released on July 1, 1982. In September 2007, ''Rolling Stone Japan'' rated ''Stop Jap'' #27 on their list of the 100 greatest Japanese rock albums of all time. It was named number 22 on '' Bounce''s 2009 list of 54 Standard Japanese Rock Albums. The first pressing contained a lyric sheet for "Meat" and was pressed on red vinyl. An additional cover of The Doors' " Light My Fire" and The Stooges' song "No Fun" was available on the cassette version that had been released at the same time. ''Stop Jap'' was The Stalin's second full-length album. It was, contrary to the album '' Trash'', easy to purchase right from the start. is a Japanese singer, musician and actress. She is one of the greatest influences on Japanese avant-garde music and media, and her career spans over 35 years. Her close friends over the years include Susumu Hirasawa. She was mainly active from 1981 to 1995. is a Japanese comedy rock band. It was started by actors in a theatrical company called "Otona Keikaku" (Project Adult) in 1995. Its original members were Hakai ( Sadao Abe), Boudou ( Kankuro Kudo), and Baito Kun (Seminosuke Murasugi). When it started, the group was just a group of comedians using the guitar. The members perform in many theaters, and also at Shōten. In 1997, bass, guitar, and drum players join and became a band. Buck-Tick
Buck-Tick (stylized as BUCK-TICK) is a Japanese rock band formed in Fujioka, Gunma in 1983. The classic lineup of lead vocalist Atsushi Sakurai, lead guitarist Hisashi Imai, rhythm guitarist Hidehiko Hoshino, bassist Yutaka Higuchi and drummer Toll Yagami lasted from 1985 until 2023. Following Sakurai's death that year, Imai and Hoshino began sharing lead vocal duties. The band has experimented with many different genres of music throughout their four decade career, including punk rock, gothic rock and industrial rock. Buck-Tick are commonly credited as one of the main founders of the visual kei movement. Kenji Ueda (上田ケンジ ''Ueda Kenji'', nickname ウエケン ''UEKEN'') is a Japanese rock musician and producer. He is known for his solo work, as well as his work with Kenzi & The Trips and The Pillows. Biography Early life and influences Born August 30, 1965 in Sapporo, Ueda began playing acoustic guitar at age 9. Seeing a television appearance by Kiss inspired him to take up the electric guitar. He also cites influential punk bands such as The Sex Pistols, The Star Club, ARB, Anarchy and The Roosters as early influences. In 1983, Ueda quit high school at age 18, and went to Tokyo by invitation of Kenzi who was a senior at the school. Cobra (Japanese Band)
Cobra (stylized as COBRA) is a Japanese punk/Oi! band from Osaka. They were one of the first bands in Japan to incorporate the style of Oi! in their sound. They have cited as their influences early British Oi! bands such as Cockney Rejects and Business. History The original incarnation of the band was formed in 1982 by two friends who had first met in their junior high school's folk music club: Yosu-ko (on vocals and bass guitar) and Naoki (on guitar), and a mutual friend known as Mi-chan on drums. Dezerter
Dezerter, founded as SS-20 in May 1981 in Warsaw, is one of the most popular punk bands from Poland. The band was founded by three students of Warsaw's vocational high school ( technikum) - Robert "Robal" Matera (guitar), Krzysztof Grabowski (drums), and Dariusz "Stepa" Stepnowski (bass). All three were born in 1963, and went to the same class. From the beginning Grabowski wrote lyrics, and Matera music. The three classmates originally planned to name their band Sektor A, but after some time changed their minds and named it SS-20. Soon afterwards, they were joined by another student of the same school, Dariusz "Skandal" Hajn (voc., born 1965), who, as Grabowski later stated, "looked like a real punkrocker".
