''For Him Who Has Ears to Hear'' is the debut release by contemporary Christian music pianist and singer Keith Green, It was released on May 20, 1977. The album photography was taken by Garry Heery with help from Max Blanc in the way of art direction. The album is ranked fifth on CCM Magazine's '' 100 Greatest Albums in Christian Music''. Making of the album The album was produced by Bill Maxwell (who played drums as well as other minor instruments on the album) at Studio 55 and was engineered by Larry Emerine, Wally Duguid, Al Perkins and Gordon Shryock. Keith Gordon Green (October 21, 1953 – July 28, 1982) was an American pianist, singer, and songwriter in the contemporary Christian music genre, who was originally from Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, New York. His most notable songs are " There Is a Redeemer", which was written by his wife Melody, and "(Until) Your Love Broke Through". Early life Green was raised in the Church of Christ, Scientist (Christian Science). Wendell Ray Burton (July 21, 1947 – May 30, 2017) was an American television executive and actor. He is best known for his co-starring role with Liza Minnelli in the 1969 movie ''The Sterile Cuckoo'' (1969). Weldon Dean Parks (born December 6, 1946) is an American session guitarist and record producer from Fort Worth, Texas. Albums Parks was member of the North Texas State One O'clock Lab Band before moving to Los Angeles to work with Sonny and Cher in 1970. In 1980, he was a founding member of the Christian Jazz Fusion band Koinonia. Parks is best known for his many contributions to albums by Steely Dan, Michael Jackson, and Bread. Notably, he played guitar on Steely Dan's ''Royal Scam'' track, "Haitian Divorce". Parks is also a long time collaborator on David Foster albums, such as '' Shadows'' by Gordon Lightfoot. Michael William Deasy (born February 4, 1941) is an American rock and jazz guitarist. As a session musician, he played on numerous hit singles and albums recorded in Los Angeles in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Annie Herring
Annie Herring (born Annie Ward September 22, 1945) is one of the pioneers of the Jesus music genre, later to be called Contemporary Christian music. She was a member of the trio 2nd Chapter of Acts, for which she wrote most of the songs and sang lead and harmony vocals with her brother Matthew Ward and sister Nelly (Ward) Greisen. During her musical career with the 2nd Chapter of Acts from 1973 to 1988, she also recorded solo albums. Early history Annie Herring's music and ministry was, in no small part, forged from personal family tragedy. "Easter Song" is a song written by Annie Herring of the Jesus music group the 2nd Chapter of Acts that tells of Jesus Christ's resurrection and the elation Christians feel about this resurrection on Easter. It was first recorded in 1974 and released on the band's debut album, ''With Footnotes''. It continues to be performed, appearing in church hymnals and Easter songbooks as well as on ''Wow Gold CD''. The Gibson guitar company called Perkins "the world's most influential dobro player" and began producing an "Al Perkins Signature" Dobro in 2001—designed and autographed by Perkins.
