Football Oscar
The Football Oscar () is an annual football award given by the Croatian Association Football Union and Sportske novosti since 2013. In the 2017 edition the award was renamed as Trophy Footballer (). It is awarded to the best football player, manager and goalkeeper playing in the Croatian First League. Also, it is awarded to the best overall Croatian player at the end of every season. The best 11 Prva HNL players of the season are also selected. The award is chosen by players and managers of the Croatian league clubs. ''Sportske novosti'' () is a Croatian daily sports newspaper based in Zagreb. The newspaper was established on 9 August 1945 as ''Ilustrirane fiskulturne novine'' weekly newspaper. Several months later, on 10 December 1945, its name was changed to ''Narodni sport''. From March 1949, its publishing frequency increased to twice a week, and from 1951 to three times per week. Ivan Močinić
Ivan Močinić (born 30 April 1993) is a Croatian retired footballer who played as a midfielder. He spent vast majority of his career with Croatian First Football League side Rijeka. Club career Rijeka Močinić made his début for Rijeka in an away match against Dinamo Zagreb in October 2011. During his first professional season he collected 13 caps. Marcelo Brozović (; born 16 November 1992) is a Croatian professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Midfielder, defensive midfielder for Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr FC, Al-Nassr. Josip Pivarić
Josip Pivarić (; born 30 January 1989) is a Croatian former professional footballer who played as a left-back. Club career Dinamo Zagreb Pivarić joined the Dinamo Zagreb youth academy at a young age. He was promoted to the first team during the spring of 2008. He went out on loan to Dinamo feeder club Lokomotiva Zagreb that same year, making 13 appearances in his first season with the ''Lokosi''. Mario Maloča (born 4 May 1989) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Gorica. Club career Maloča spent most of his youth career at Dinamo Zagreb and had spells with youth teams at NK Zagreb, Inter Zaprešić and Kamen Ingrad. In 2007, Maloča signed for Hajduk Split. Ivan Tomečak (; born 7 December 1989) is a Croatian professional footballer. He is usually deployed as a right full-back, but is often used as a right winger or left full-back. Mario Pašalić (; born 9 February 1995) is a professional footballer who plays as an midfielder for side Atalanta. Born in Germany, he plays for the Croatia national team.
