Fo Tan Station
Fo Tan () is a station on the of the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) system in Hong Kong. It is located in the Fo Tan area of Sha Tin District, between and stations on the East Rail line's main branch. The is located parallel to Fo Tan, on the line's Racecourse branch. The passenger station serves some apartment buildings, villages, and a medium-sized industrial zone, as well as the of the MTRC. During rush hour, some northbound trains terminate at this station before departing southwards. Some trains do not run through this station on race days, and are instead diverted to stop at the Racecourse. Fo Tan
Fo Tan () is an area of Sha Tin District, New Territories, Hong Kong. It was developed as a light industrial area, but this activity has declined markedly in recent years. There are residential areas to the east, alongside the MTR line, and in the foothills to the west. Etymology Fo Tan is located around a river, the Fo Tan Nullah. Historically, a beach was revealed when the water receded. The area thus became known as "river beach" (). In Hakka Chinese, Hakka, this was pronounced "Fo Tan". It was later mistakenly called "Fire Beach" () due to similarities in pronunciation. It is mandated to provide training to athletes, and also offers academic qualification in the field of sports training. Wo Liu Hang
Wo Liu Hang () is a village in Fo Tan, Hong Kong. The place was formerly a small plain at the shore of Sha Tin Hoi. The plain to the south has been transformed into an industrial area and a village has been erected in the hilly north. Royal Ascot, Hong Kong
Royal Ascot () is a private residential development in Fo Tan, Sha Tin District, Hong Kong, located above the MTR Ho Tung Lau railway depot. The development consists of 2,504 residential units in ten tower blocks, built in two phases: the first phase (six towers) completed in 1995, the remaining four towers were completed in 1996, and the estate was fully occupied by April 1997. Lok Lo Ha
Lok Lo Ha () is a village and valley northeast of Wo Liu Hang in Fo Tan, Sha Tin District, Hong Kong. Administration Lok Lo Ha is a recognized village under the New Territories Small House Policy. History Lok Lo Ha was historically a sea-shore village. A stone pier for the sampan ferry to Yuen Chau Kok was built at Lok Lo Ha in 1917. In 2018, a KMB bus on route 872 passed by this stop, 2018 Hong Kong bus accident, overturning a few stops later, killing 19. It has been noted that the name of the village literally means “falling down from the road”, which coincidentally describes the bus accident. Chun Yeung Estate () is a public housing estate in Fo Tan, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is the only public housing estate in Fo Tan, located at the junction of Wong Chuk Yeung Street and Kwei Tei Street. It comprises 5 blocks and 1 shopping centre with total of 4,846 flats.
