Flying (Grammatrain Album)
''Flying'' is the second studio album by American rock band Grammatrain, released on July 6, 1997 on ForeFront Records. A music video was made for the song "Peace". The music video included on the ''WWJD'' (''What Would Jesus Do?'') compilation VHS in 1998 and the track "Pain" was included on the CD release of the ''WWJD'' compilation on November 4, 1997. During an interview on ''Jesus Freaks: Vinyl to Digital'' in 2021, drummer Paul Joseph Roraback said ''Flying'' was recorded in two months. Grammatrain disbanded in 1998 and reunited in 2009. According to drummer Paul Joseph Roraback in a 1995 interview, the band's name came from a poem he wrote about his grandmother called "Grandma's Train", which was the band's original name before changing it to Grammatrain shortly after forming. History Grammatrain formed in 1994 with vocalist/guitarist Pete Stewart, drummer Paul Joseph Roraback and his brother, bassist Dalton Roraback. Paul was previously a drummer for the Christian metal band Paragon; he performed on the band's two releases, ''Just Believe'' in 1984 and ''Dead and Alive'' in 1988, both of which were demos released exclusively on cassette. Eddie DeGarmo (born October 3, 1954) is an American contemporary Christian music recording artist, keyboardist, producer and singer. He became best friends with guitarist/lead vocalist Dana Key in first grade, and co-founded the Christian rock group DeGarmo and Key with him in 1978. DeGarmo played keyboards and provided vocals for the band. DeGarmo was one of the founders of Christian music label ForeFront Records. ''Lonely House'' is the debut studio album by American rock band Grammatrain, released on September 19, 1995 on ForeFront Records. The album's sound is a combination of grunge, alternative rock, and post-grunge with Christian lyrics. Two songs from the album, "Believe" and "She Don't Know", were released as singles. Recording history Before the release of ''Lonely House'', Grammatrain released both a self-titled three-track demo cassette tape independently and a self-titled demo CD on Zoe Worldwide Records in 1994. The demo tape's songs included "Drown", "Mindform" and "Need", the second of which was exclusive to the tape. The demo tape was recorded and mixed on March 19 and 20, 1994 at Cascade Recording in Cle Elum, Washington. Seven songs from the self-titled demo CD, with the exception of "For Me", appear in a re-recorded form on ''Lonely House.''
