Flodder
''Flodder'' is a 1986 Dutch comedy film written and directed by Dick Maas, and produced by First Floor Features. It is the first film in the ''Flodder'' franchise and is followed by two more films and a spin-off series. The film follows an anti-social, dysfunctional family who move to an affluent, upper-class neighbourhood as part of a social experiment which results in mayhem as the Flodder family refuses to adapt. ''Flodder'' broad humour and politically incorrect satire ridiculing the Dutch welfare state resulted in mixed reviews, but was the most popular Dutch film of the year and one of the top 10 of all time with 2.3 million admissions. It still attracts a cult following, and in 2007 it was admitted to the Canon van de Nederlandse Film. '' Flodder 3 '' (alternative titles: ''Flodder Forever'' or ''Flodder: The Final Story'') is a 1995 Dutch comedy film directed by Dick Maas. It is the third and last film about the anti-social family, called 'Flodder'. The film is a continuation of the TV series and the previous two films. Different from the first two films, son Kees is now played by actor Stefan de Walle, and Johnnie Flodder is now played by Coen van Vrijberghe de Coningh, the same actor as in the TV series. It was the second most popular Dutch film of the year. First Floor Features is a Dutch film production company founded by Laurens Geels and Dick Maas. History First Floor Features was founded in 1984 The first film the studio released was ''Abel'' in 1986. In 1991, Geels and Maas built a film studio in Almere. In March 1991, the studio complex was opened by Minister Hedy d'Ancona and the two studio spaces of 900 and almost 1700 m², respectively, could also be rented by other film producers. However, interest was disappointing, and the 10 million guilder Film Factory was sold to the NOB with First Floor Features becoming a tenant. The outside area of the studios consisted of the set houses of Zonnedael, used for filming Flodder. In 1999, the house for '' Big Brother'' was placed here. In 1998, the company focused on the English-language market. Dirk Herman Willem Maas (Dick) (born 15 April 1951) is a Dutch film director, screenwriter, film producer and film composer. Career Maas achieved fame after the success of his music videos for the Dutch band Golden Earring, including "Twilight Zone (Golden Earring song), Twilight Zone" and the controversial "When the Lady Smiles," and his films , ''Amsterdamned'' and ''Flodder'' in the 1980s. Bert André
Hubertus Antonius Gerardus Maria "Bert" André (August 6, 1941 – May 21, 2008) was a Dutch actor who started his career in theater and later became known to the greater audiences through his roles in various movies and TV series. Biography He started his career as a teacher in Maastricht but moved to Antwerp in 1964, where he studied theater improvisation in what later was known as the Studio Herman Teirlinck.
